This was a great trip. It came as a surprise that the boat was based in Soma Bay, but it was nice to see another resort. Pick up and transfer was quick and efficient.
Royal Seascope was a lovely, modern boat and the large crew were really helpful and friendly. There wasn’t a great deal to see - just the fish you’d normally see snorkelling, but the perspective of looking out from the boat’s underwater windows was fascinating.
The snorkelling stop was great. Decent quality equipment and a safe but interesting spot chosen for it. All in all, a great excursion.
One slight negative to note - the company charged $5 per person for pickup in Makadi Bay. The details on Viator didn’t make this clear (to me) so bear it in mind when comparing prices. It seems odd that pick-up in Hurghada (further away from Soma Bay) is free.

I didnt go on this trip. I am giving the rating based on the interaction with the tour guide. He is not a tour guide. He does not even have an office. He is just someone posting online about these trips and taking his commission.
Beware of hidden fees
Although the service clearly says "Sahl hashesh" in the headline. He asked me to pay a "transfer fee" when I told him i am staying in that area.
I tried to change the submarine to a better one, he asked for 4 times the amount and refused to cancel. Do you know why? because he knows he has the money in his pocket. Viator is enabling this type of behavoir because of the no-refund policy.
My advise, use google maps and write "submarine" go the marina and book directly or call them. There are several "real" submarine companies in the marina. Book from they directly for cheaper rates. Dont be a victim like me

Me and my family had a lovely time, very entertaining, staff were lovely, my daughter got sick so i had to postpone the the trip last minute and i had no problems in doing so without any hassle which was good.
Everyone must experience the submarine only through these guys.

I booked a submarine trip for my family of 5 and the tour operator did not turn up for us then sent me a what’s app asking me to do a another day which I said I couldn’t do I then requested a refund which he accepted and said to request it which I did and it’s now been rejected. I have sent the company a what’s app message for him to call me rude for asking for a refund and blocked me.
