We misunderstood this tour-we thought we were getting a guide, but it was basically a taxi service. The driver was extremely friendly & polite, the vehicle was in great condition, but we got dropped off at the entrance into Taormina & were told to explore on our own. When we returned to Messina, instead of getting taken around the old town, it was pointed out and we once again were on our own. The restaurant he pointed out to us to use for lunch only had a limited menu & was disappointing.
If all you want is a driving service, then this is the tour to book.

With what could have been a disaster turned out great for us. We were a party of 5 and booked a private tour. At the meeting point we were met by the owner of the tour company. He explained that our tour guide was unfortunately not available due to circumstances beyond control.
He apologized profusely and offered us a workable solution that still allowed us to see what we wanted. He gave us a full refund and offered us a discounted small group tour as a replacement. Overall a great outcome for what could have been a very disastrous day for us.
I highly praise this tour group for making it right

Sam our english speaking guide provided a great experience for our private tour. We were picked up on time at the cruise port. As we drove to Messina, he provided valuable information. We stopped off along the way for a few great photo opportunities. Once we arrived, they dropped us off at the meeting spot for our pick up return. We had 3 hours to enjoy the shops and had a nice lunch. Once back at the cruise ship for drop off the driver treated us to cannolis. Very nice service!

Great tour with some great sights. Tour guide helped us find great places to eat in Taoromina and showed us around a beautiful church in Messina.
Only reason the review gets a 4 star is there were 7 of us and we had a driver and tour guide so the front seat was very tight with three of us. It was also very warm and very little air conditioning was put on, we also weren’t asked if it was comfortable temperature in the van.

This tour was just amazing. It was very personal and we got to enjoy the most of our cruise stop in Messina. Our tour guide Sam was knowledgeable, kind and made us feel very comfortable. We had so much time to explore Taormina on our own. We would recommend this trip to all our friends and family

Some of these tours amount to a driver and nothing much else. Michael was a tour guide who told us about things that were on the route, advised us how long we might need to see Taormina, showed us where to go to enjoy the local delicacy (Canoli), and, most importantly, got us back to the ship in good time. He told us all about his family, his wife and children, how the lockdown affected their business, and what happens during their peak season.

Taormina was the best of the dites... must see
Driver let us off at the amazing old awesome town. Churches and shops were wonderful and the colossium/theater with ocean views fabulous.
