It starts in the 19th century. Of industrial change; a city's expansion; new, revolutionary political philosophies; a new artistic movement; and the life of it's architectural genius - Antoní Gaudí. Delve into Modernism's themes and how social, cultural and political forces shaped the physical appearances of these stunning buildings. We'll see stories of on the make property developers; tobacco planters on ego trips; a surgeon with a (possible) inferiority complex; and dragons. Lots of dragons!
Then we go to his unfinished masterpiece, the Sagrada Familia, with an explanation of this unique, beguiling church!
As a professional actor I will try and weave my story telling skills with my passion for history, the serious and the humourous, connecting all these strands together and connecting you as well to this phenomenal time.

We did the Gaudi and Modernism tour with Patrick; it was simply fascinating! Native English speaking, full of life guide ,bring's a lot of fun and jokes in the whole tour. It was like a great rock concert, as we were going it just kept getting better and better! Patrick also helped us a lot giving extra tips how to use the public transportation sistem. He was very pasionate, you can see that he loves what he's doing.
I highly recommend it!

We had a really wonderful tour with Patrick. The tour was well paced, informative, and fun. It was a great way to get a feel for Barcelona and gave us a new perspective to take with us as we adventured the city after the tour.

We had a wonderful time with Patrick during the tour! He is very knowledgeable of the history and architecture of Barcelona. If you want a small group tour and learn about modernism and Gaudi, this is the tour for you!

The tour with Patrick was very good! It is only a short walk, but with great buildings and informations from Patrick! Patrick is an awesome storyteller and he pointed out even the smallest things!

Patrick was amazing! This was the best tour I have taken when in Spain. He is very passionate about Gaudi and the architecture along the Passeig de Graçia, and that passion made me really excited about the information he was sharing as well. If you love history and architecture, this is definitely a tour you should book!

My boyfriend and I went on the Gaudi and Modernism tour in October. It was the first tour of our trip, and I have to say--it set a high bar for all the others. Patrick is knowledgeable and clearly loves Barcelona's unique architecture. Highly recommend!

Patrick is very knowledgeable on the subject and you would love his story telling. Always finding for you the best spot for photos and bring you the history of modernism and Gaudi in the 2.5 hr walk. You won’t feel bored and highly recommend it!
