Our Machu Picchu experience with Minkas Tour was phenomenal. The entire journey involved several modes of transportation, but the process was easy and seamless. Julio provided us with a private tour, making the experience truly exceptional. He took his time explaining everything there is to know about Machu Picchu and patiently answered all our questions.
We had the chance to explore circuits 3 and 1, both of which were amazing. Circuit 1 was a bit more challenging to reach, but Julio accommodated our pace, stopping frequently to let us catch our breath and share fascinating facts about Machu Picchu. He also took countless photos for us, guiding us to the best photo spots.
Overall, it was a fantastic experience with Minkas Travel. We would love to return to Machu Picchu and explore the other circuits with Minkas in the future.

Wow! Irwin was the best travel/tour agent we have ever encountered. We’ve been to 53 different countries before exploring Peru (out 54th country) and Irwin is the best of the best!!!!!! Never have we received such wonderful, professional and quick service. Irwin is super responsive and no request is too hard. He planned our private tour immaculately and gave us very clear instructions. Our drivers all spoke perfect English and we were transported in clean cars and trains throughout all out tours. We initially booked the Machu Picchu tour and because we had such a wonderful experience, we booked the Rainbow Mountain and Humantay Lake with Irwin as well. Didn’t matter what time I messaged Irwin, he always replied promptly and answered aok our questions. Everything was seamless and easy. Clear pick-up instructions and drop off. They are big days and early start but everything is organised from food, safe driver to and from tourist site, trains, it was so well organised every day. Great prices for each package as well. We have already recommended Minka Travel to our other friends, and for them to contact Irwin. It’s great to see he has such a passion for his job, but also is a great ambassador for Peru and all its beautiful nature! We will come back and use Irwin for all our future tours and ensure everyone goes to Irwin for any tour needs. His employer is lucky to have him! Our visit to Machu Pichu was incredible! We had a great guide named Julio who did a fabulous job explaining all the history about MP. We got to do the upper level and go down into the ruins up close and it was such an incredible experience. I can’t wait to go back!

I bought the tour because there were no tickets to Machu Picchu. I did not regret it! They organize a full transfer from the hotel. The tour guide Julio is excellent! He told all the information and interesting details. He also took me photos and a short video! Thank you.

Everything was well organized. The group was small, and the guide, Jiuliu Cesar Almiron Lique, knew a lot about the place and its history. We enjoyed his stories. Also, he is a good photographer, and it was an added value :-).

We purchased our tour a bit late and unfortunately there were no more tickets to Machu Picchu. However, Irwin made everything possible! He arranged for us to have an overnight stay in Aguas Calientes so we could still purchase tickets to Machu Picchu. He also arranged the transportation to and from with our own private guide. I’m so grateful we didn’t miss seeing the incredible Machu Picchu.

This whole experience still feels like a dream to me which it wouldn't have been possible with all the dedication and organization Minka Travels did for me and my 60 year old mom. They were very punctual picking us up from our accommodation to take the bus to Ollantaytambo, we had a stop in Chincheros, we were able to stretch our legs and take beautiful pictures there, when we got to Aguas Calientes our tour guy was waiting for us to show where we could have some lunch, after that we met him again and he took us to the location to take the bus to Machupicchu. Our guide Paul was waiting for us there, I can't say enough of him, he was very knowledgeable, he answered all of our questions, he was very patient and very helpful with my mom going up hill. He never rushed us and was a great photographer, he took wonderful pictures and even suggested some posses to do, he took the bus back to Aguas Calientes with us and since we had plenty of time before we had to take the train back to Ollantaytambo, he gave us great directions on how to get to the thermal baths which we found it was relaxing after a long day of trekking. Back in Cusco they were waiting for us to take us back to the hotel. I can't wait to come back again. I highly recommend Minkas Travel, great job, well done!

Let me start by saying that I purchased passes to Machu Picchu and train tickets on my own. I foolishly made a mistake by not adding in the bus time from Aguas Caliente up to the entrance and ran the risk of not being allowed to enter as we would have arrived later than our time slot. I realized this in Cusco at 10pm the night before our 7am entrance time. Needless to say, I panicked and frantically searched for a way to fix it. That is when I came upon Irwin with Minkas. He messaged me immediately and effortlessly fixed our issue by getting us earlier train tickets, bus tickets AND a private tour guide for a mere 5 hours later. Our transportation to the Ollantaytambo train station met us at our hotel at 3am and got us there on time. We met our guide, Edgar, at the Aguas Caliente stop and off we went. I cannot say enough about how amazing Edgar is as a guide to Machu Picchu. He is extremely knowledgeable, funny, and one heck of a photographer. When I say that Irwin and Edgar saved our trip, I am not exaggerating. They are both amazing people and I cannot recommend them enough!!
