Great view can be had from the Huayna Picchu mountain. One of the best mountains to observe the entire Inca city of Machupicchu.

One of my best experiences and challenges was climbing the imposing Huayna Picchu mountain. This mountain is incredible, it is worth all the effort and each step to reach the top, from the mountain you can see the beautiful Inca city of Machu Picchu

For all those who can choose to do Huayna Picchu I recommend it in its entirety, from here you will have a panoramic view of all of Machu Picchu. The agency complied, they gave me 2 tickets, one to visit all Machu Picchu and another for Huayna Picchu, highly recommended.

View from the top of Huayna Picchu. That green clearing below is the Machu Picchu ruins, and the zig zag is the bus road up. Very magical all the way. Thank you DON for an excellent organization.

After a long time I returned to visit Huayna Picchu with my family, and we were impressed to see so much wonder and observe Machu Picchu from the top is crazy and beautiful

Without a doubt, it is worth going up, it is a very difficult and complicated path, but the view of the citadel from above is incredible. I thank DON Peru Tours again for their excellent organization and we are very happy for their excellent service.

If you are independent, but would still like all the paperwork and minor booking details taken care for you, this is the excursion for you. A person from tour stopped by our hotel the night before to give us all our tickets - Train ticket, Bus Ticket, Machu Picchu/Wauyana Picchu tickets. The one downside, is they came at 8:30pm the night before. And we had to get up before 3 am the next day. I wish they had coordinated this earlier in the night.
It was over an hour car ride to the train station. We got right on the train and it was over an hour ride to the city of Machu Picchu. The train ride was pretty nice, I wish we could have taken the train right out of Cusco, but I don't think it goes that far. We then found the bus stop and got on our bus, which took us to the top by Machu Picchu. With this package, it includes the Wuyana picchu hike. We hiked the mountain and got an amazing view of Macchu Picchu. You can see from the photos it is a very steep hike. I have moderate physical fitness. This was very hard but I pushed myself and could do it. If you were staying in Cusco like us, this is lower elevation, even on top the mountain, so the only hard part of the hike was just the physical demand.
Overall, this was a great day. Definitely go right away in the morning, the earlier the better. The longer you wait the hotter it gets at Machu Picchu. The whole excursion was self guided.
One thing that was not great, out of control by the tour company not their fault, was the train on the way home. It was delayed 4 times. Instead of leaving at 5:30pm, we didn't leave the station till 11pm. By the time we got to Cusco, it was 1am. This was a 23 hour day for us, it was brutal. Still worth it, but luckily we had a free day the next day. If we had another tour, we wouldn't have been in trouble.

My visit to Wayna Picchu was surely one of the best I've ever done in my life, a very tiring climb but worth all the effort. Along the way I made friends and everyone was happy to reach the top. I would like to thank Sandra, my travel agent, who was attentive to me throughout my visit.
