Welcome to the only place in Montreal that will teach you how to make Montreal bagels!
Montreal bagels are world famous for their shape, taste and texture. A trip to Montreal isn't complete until you've tried one of these amazing bagels. So why not try your hand at making them yourself? We will teach you the secrets on how to make some deliciously unique authentic Montreal style bagels at home, the easy way.
We will start by learning how to properly mix and knead the dough. We will discuss how different flours and water amounts affect the final texture of the dough and crust. I have adapted the best Boulanger (Bread Maker) techniques to the home kitchen. You will become a confident baker at home in no time!
We will go step by step from mixing the dough, letting it rest, to shaping the bagels, to boiling them, dressing them with various toppings, baking them and finally eating them!
This workshop is super hands on so this is far from the "Watch the pro" type workshops out there.

We can’t rate this workshop because our reservation was cancelled because it was overbooked. Trip advisor reservations are unreliable and do not sync with the workshop availability. I believe we still have not been refunded our $130 fee after 2 weeks

Bagel making with Will was so much fun! We learned, laughed and ate great bagels! His directions and recipe were easy to follow. Our bagels turned out amazing! He kept all three of my kids entertained (ages 17-22) with his upbeat banter. Highly recommend!

Core memory for our family on our recent vacation. We can’t wait to get home to make more bagels. Our instructor was excellent- so knowledgeable, professional, & fun. Food always has a way of bringing people together.

This was a fantastic experience. Will was an amazing teacher and Montreal bagel representative. Will led a very engaging, informative, and efficient bagel making class. It was easy to follow along, even with a wide range of baking skills in the class. I would recommend every first time visitor to Montreal take this class to gain a deeper understanding of the bagel culture of Montreal and to learn life long baking skills.
