$16 for a cigar I buy in the United States for $8.
This is a good example of their overall pricing
They are polite and it isn't the worst place to go but this is sure not where I am gonna buy my cigars which stinks because I really wanted to load up with 100 each to bring home....but that's because I figured cigars made here sold here without paying the large duty would be less expensive not more expensive than delivered to my door.

i've booked this experience directly on tainogifts.com and was picked up at my hotel. my guide Lucy gave me a tour about cocoa production in DR and showed me how they are making chocolate at the shop. they also have a person who's rolling the cigars in front of you. they have huge choice of souvenirs and i got gifts for my whole family. totally recommended!
