Also known as "Prainhas", it is divided in two, separated by rocks (at high tide, turns one). To reach the calm, transparent and perfect waters for bathing, you have to face a wooden staircase of 255 steps, that leaves the hill of Atalaia.

A great star of Arraial do Cabo, Praia do Farol is one of the most beautiful in the whole of the Lakes Region and, without exaggeration, all over Brazil. It has gained fame especially for being classified by INPE (National Institute of Space Research) as one of the most perfect beaches of the country, following criteria of water purity, sand quality and landscape. Fame has spread and today Praia do Farol is one of the must-see tours in Arraial do Cabo.

The Blue Grotto is part of the boat trip that leads to Praia do Farol. The rock formation is just one of many natural beauties on the route that passes through the Island of Cabo Frio. The whole course in the open sea is beautiful, with impressive water tones. The Blue Grotto is just one of the beautiful moments, which still count with the waves that break fiercely against the rocks.

A crack between rocks, with the image of a saint in the middle. Legends of fishermen who found her at sea and put her as protector of the city there, or legends of couples kissing in front of the image to perpetuate the love, are some stories that probably the guide will tell on the tour.

Our tour guide was very kind and ensured we were safe at all times. We booked an English tours however, 95% of the tour was in Portuguese or Spanish.
The tour itself was alright - this is of course my opinion, I’m sure others would enjoy it. We stopped at 2 beaches and drove around a couple islands - it was quite crowded. The boat ride had loud party music, and for an additional price grilled food and drinks. If you’re the first one to be picked up, prepare to be in the bus for 4-5hours before getting onto the boat. Lunch was buffet style and was served at around 4pm, come prepared with some snacks.

Overall it was a sunny day, and the tour was alright. Our guide was kind, and tried her best to rally the crowd.

Es un excelente paronama cuando uno viaja a Brasil, este tour debe estar en la lista de cosas que hacer si o si. La atención del personal fue la mejor en espacial la guía Juliana Schramm que en todo momento se aseguraba que estuviéramos pasándolo bien, tambien estaban atento a uno si llegaba a necesitar algo y muy buen ambiente. Las playas fueron muy bonitas.

Todo el tour fue excelente, muy cumplidos para todo el itinerario, desde la hora de recogerte en el hotel, hasta la hora de regreso. Muy organizado, muy buena atención todo el tiempo, súper recomendado. Excelente guía Juliana Schramm. Muchas gracias por tan excelente servicio.

The views were beautiful, we were lucky enough to spot hump back whales and turtles! Juliana was very informative, helpful and so friendly! Very long day but worth it, crystal clear water & white sands to die for.

We were visiting Arraial with Juliana from the agency, highly recommended. The guide is very friendly, happy and committed to her work. Enjoy what he does 😁. The tour experience is very good to have fun, discover incredible beaches and dive with fish among other things.

If I could leave less than 1 star, I would! Trip was confirmed - I waited more than 2 hours but was never picked up or contacted; I reached out to company thru Viator app and directly but never received a response; Viator finally contacted me to say the guide company decided to cancel the trip but gave no notice; this was planned for my last day in Rio so I missed out on this experience - I could have gone with a different company had I been given notice; at the very least, if the tour company was going to cancel, they should have attempted to get me on a different group's tour. Beyond disappointed with this company and with Viator for not helping to rectify the problem (refunding my money was not enough). Do NOT book this tour!!
