The Oak Alley plantation tour is one of the most magnificent plantation tours near New Orleans because of the 28 evenly spaced, huge Oak Trees that go from the river road to the Plantation House. The Greek Revival home dates back to 1837. Located on the grounds is a restaurant, blacksmith shop, Souvenir Shop and antique farm equipment. Next up is an airboat tour - hold onto your hat! Our New Orleans Airboat Swamp Tour is a high speed adventure that is part tour and part ride. Along the way, you will get a personal tour by your local Captain. Our airboats have stadium seating, so that the person in front of you does not obstruct your view. So, every airboat seat is great for experiencing the tour and viewing the wildlife.

Oak Alley was interesting but the highlight was the Airboat Swamp tour. Very interesting and informative. Guide was great. The whole experience was well worth the time and money. We took a tour in the Everglades in Florida but this tour was ten times better.

The swampboat ride was awesome! Our guide Ernie was FANTASTIC and made the ride so much fun. He kept us safe, taught us about the swampland and gators, and made us roll in laughter. Do not miss this ride - and ask for Ernie!!

Great visit. Arrived early so had plenty of time to grab a mint Julep from the bar and explore the beautiful grounds. Had enough time after to grab a dreamciscle (soooo good) and a bite to eat and explore the gift shop. The fresh homemade pralines were to die for!

The airboat swamp tour was the highlight for me. We ended up getting caught in a down pour of rain and ended the trip early but no one cared. Jason was an amazing captain and we got to meet Hook, Bruce and Nibbles along with some other amazing gators. I got to hold a baby gator. Learned a lot about alligators and the swamp, bayou and marsh area. If you do nothing else, do the airboat tour!

This tour had everything my friends and I were looking for in a tour on our Louisiana visit. Beautifully preserved and informative historic plantation in the Louisiana countryside and a fan boat ride on the bayou seeing awesome wild gators up close and personal. Our fan boat captain Jason was incredibly knowledgeable about gators and the ecosystem of the area. Super glad we did this!!
