Our Masai Mara safari was an unforgettable adventure! We had the incredible opportunity to see lions, elephants, buffalo, zebras, giraffes, and a variety of other wild animals in their natural habitat. Visiting the Masai tribe village was a unique and enriching experience, offering a fascinating glimpse into a different culture.

The accommodation was comfortable, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure my dietary restrictions were meticulously catered to. Special shoutout to our guide, Samuel, who was fantastic! His expertise and keen eye got us to the best spots for animal sightings. This safari exceeded all our expectations – highly recommended!

We had a great time on the safari. It was well organised, the food and accommodation were both very good and the guide, Peter, is a very good driver and passionate about his job. It was a great adventure we will not soon forget.

Myself and a friend booked the 3 day safari from Nairobi after spending a few days in the city.

Although the journey to thr reserve is long, as someone coming to Kenya from Europe the landscape was stunning which made the journey out enjoyable. We stopped at the Great Rift Valley for a short time - this was stunning.

The reserve itself is by far the best safari-ing I've ever done. We saw all animals we wanted to see (lions, cheetahs, leopard, etc) and had some amazingly close encounters with elephants. Massive shout out to our guide Ambrose, who was amazing. His knowledge and driving, second to none.

The accommodation was basic - more basic than I was expecting. My tent didn't have hot water and the food was okay at best.

All in all, for the price paid this was an incredibly memorable experience, but don't expect luxury lodging!

When I book the tour a get a text that I have to pay extra on the Mara reserve 200 dollars , I contacted the manager of the company and he told me that I will pay on the gate there and it’s a government fee , I told I don’t have cash and I will pay by card and he say no problem, you don’t give any money to us , in the end of the tour the guide “Alex” was pushing me
To give some cash and I told him that I agree with manage to pay on the gate , he attack me and took the phone from my hand while I was talking with the manager “ I have the video of the situation, I contacted already the advocate and will enter with a complain about viator and the Company that made the tour !!!

Totally recommend it!
Due to weather conditions our trip didn‘t go as planned. But Ambros, Dennis and Peter were great drivers and guides to get us safely to/from Masai Mara!
The Rhino Camp is pretty basic but has everything you need

Selected course:
"Small group safari"

Tour details:
The driver and guide was very kind and proactively answered the members' questions and what they wanted to see, making it a very satisfying tour.

The journey to the safari took 5 hours, and 1-2 hours of that was on unpaved roads, so it was quite bumpy.

The roads in the safari were also unpaved, so it took quite a bit of physical strength.

Meals:
Buffet meals were provided for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
We only spent lunch on the second day in the safari, so we had a simple picnic lunch.
Everything was delicious and we wanted to eat it again.

Accommodation:
We stayed in tents, but they were equipped with Western-style toilets with toilet paper, hot water showers, and beds with mosquito nets, so we had a comfortable stay.

There was no Wi-Fi provided, and depending on the SIM, there was no signal in the area, so it would be a good idea to take this opportunity to digitally detox.

Things to note:

- Safari admission was 100 USD/day

- The tour page says "cards accepted," but it was cash only

- Admission to the Maasai village was 3000 KES (USD also accepted)

- It's a good idea to bring extra money for tips and souvenirs when you go to the Maasai village

We upgraded to a Land Cruiser/Jamba Mara accommodations and didn’t regret a thing.

The Jambo Mara was a huge step up from the basic tent camp offered. While it wasn’t quite a 3 star hotel, the staff was amazing, food was good, and the room were very cool glass houses.

We also chose to pay $20/person to visit the Masai tribe. This was a must do in my opinion. Outstanding cultural experience.

Regarding the game viewing, we got very lucky the 1st evening and saw a ton of animals. I was concerned we’d be bored the next day. That couldn’t have been further from the truth. Sooo many amazing animals.

Our kids are 13 and 14 and had a life-changing experience and Sammy, our driver was a huge part of that. We appreciate him and the team we coordinated with at the office. One of the best tours we’ve ever taken.
