Meet a collective of professional Fado artists who share a passion for Traditional Fado (a brench of Fado, considered the purest one). This style, considered the genuine art of Fado, combines all the aesthetics and authenticity of this music genre.
Before the concert you will have the opportunity to talk with the musicians. They will explain you the different styles that are usually played in Fado concerts with musical examples and why the traditional style is the most artistic one.
Before the concert, you'll be offered a Port wine.
At the concert you won't hear mainstream setlists or any other styles like "Marchas de Lisboa" or Folk Music, often called as Fado for tourists or comercial Fado. It's the only concert in Porto fully dedicated to authentic and artistic Fado.
Silence at the concert is required.
Music will be played by a typical trio: a "Fadista" (term for Fado singer), a classical guitar player and a Portuguese guitar player.
In each concert you'll hear two fado singers: a man and a women.
You will hear 12 Fados and 2 instrumentals songs.

Primero cuando reservas te recomiendan que llegues 15 min antes si quieres que te hablen un poco del fado, llegas 15 min antes y no hay nadie… abrieron Justo a la hora que era la reserva 21:15… mucha gente y habían 2 aires acondicionados y no los encendieron, al contrario.., al llegar había 1 encendido y lo apagaron… ósea que pasamos calor… por lo demás muy bonito espectáculo aunque aburrido ( y me gusta el fado ) …

Fantastic Fado concert. A Spanish guitarist & Portuguese guitarist playing both together and also accompanied by either a male or female vocalist.
Nice Ruby Port served. Intimate dark room with may be 50 seats, cafe style.

Our experience at Ideal Clube do Fado was amazing! The place is perfect for a Fado show, very authentic, and putting all the focus on the artists. The musicians and singers are remarkable and beyond talented, and we were very moved by their music and performance.

We were not sure whether we would enjoy this however it was absolutely amazing. It is a small venue up a back street. A few chairs in front of a small stage and a glass of port. 2 amazing guitarists and two, one male and one female, singers. They were living the music and played with passion and enjoyment which spread to us that were watching and listening. I highly recommend this club to listen to some authentic Fado.

I had an unforgettable evening of Fado there in 2022, but unfortunately the magic has left the building in 2024. The musicians are still good but the show is soulless. It's now an industry. And it is sad 😔

It was a wonderful experience! We left feeling amazed by what we had just heard. The singers and instrumentalists were superb, and their emotions and commitment were so genuine. Gave me goosebumps!

The performance was great. I got goosebumps every time the male singer hit a high note. The solo guitarist who played the Portuguese guitar is very talented. The port wine blended well with the music and enriched the experience. However, it was very hot inside the room. It was not just me but everyone else was also sweating and gasping for air the whole time. It was a shame because the music, on its self, was simply amazing.
