Fuji Bike Tour's guide leads you in exploring the shores of the scenic lakes in Mt Fuji's foothills where spectacular views of the mountain await.
Bike through picturesque countryside, past cherry and maple trees and fields of flowers. Stops include an ancient village of thatched-roof houses where local artisans display traditional crafts.
People of any fitness level can participate. We bike at your pace on mostly-flat, paved roads.
A support car and driver will accompany us so if you get tired or want to skip a hill, you can ride in the car. Your bike will also be transported so you can resume cycling when you wish.
The guide is a native English speaker who rides a bike at the head of the tour group. He is knowledgeable about Japan and the local area and will share fascinating info and insights.
We can provide bikes for adults and children 120 cm to 210 cm tall. This tour is not designed to be suitable for children under age 12.

Absolutely excellent on all fronts. Great guide, equipment and service/flexibility. Aaron did a great job of explaining the local terrain and culture and it seemed like every time we stopped Carlo was “right there” with the follow-car. A “Top 5” experience!

we spent a magnificent day around the five lakes with breathtaking views of Mount Fuji. The bike tour is very pleasant! We were very lucky because the weather was magnificent. A big thank you to Aaron and Carlo for their kindness!

This was a perfect way to see the Fuji lake area and we had a blast! Aaron was a super knowledgeable guide and all around a pleasure to talk to. It was fun being active while also learning history and geography of the area! The bikes were smooth and easy to use and the weather was perfect! The best part was seeing Mt Fuji looming in the background from unique vantage points and different angles.

My husband and I visited My Fuji a week after the season for hiking ended. Not wanting to miss Fuji on our first trip to Japan I came across the bike tour option. Both of us are very active but not truly experienced cyclists. We were extremely pleased with our decision to give it a try. The views were stunning, and the concern about flat tires or injuries were offset by the follow van and Aaron who could easily replace a flat. We stopped along the way at multiple villages for food, drinks, bathroom and sightseeing. The shine muscat grapes were in season so we got a bunch of those for the ride back to Tokyo. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone who wants more views and less crowds. We were also big fans of the bikes he provided which included helmets and flashing safety lights.
Aaron provides links to buy bus fare to and from kawaguchico station, which is very helpful since I wasn’t able to find those links on my own (only time tables). The bus ride ended up being 3 hours to Fuji and return trip 5 hours, when the expected was 2 hours both ways. I don’t know if this was because we visited on a Sunday or if this is usual for weekdays. However I would recommend taking the extra time and money to ride the Shinkansen back to Tokyo to avoid this.

My wife and I were on our honeymoon and staying around Mt. Fuji for only one full day. We spent it biking with Aaron May! It was a great way to see all 5 lakes and get great views (when the clouds cleared) of the mountain. Even with some clouds around Mt. Fuji, the foothills and lakes are spectacular on their own! We did 45 miles over 8 hours at an easy pace (10-15 mph). We took many stops at beaches, flower gardens, and viewpoints to break up the riding and let us soak in the beauty of the area.
There are easy bike paths and roads that connect all the lakes. Each lake had its own charm. We wish we scheduled more time to enjoy more of what the area has to offer like mountain biking, hiking, and boating. With only one day the bike tour was a great way to see as much as possible.
Aaron was a great guide with lots of information about shrines, geology, trees, bikes, and more! Easy to talk with for the whole day about Mt. Fuji and Japan in general. We enjoyed getting to speak to a native English speaker about Japanese culture because we had so many questions. He was a great resource!

It’s amazing cycling tour with professional guide.I got g good bicycle and guide provided a very customize things included route , speed etc. Thee are very flexible with program and took me to the highlight spot as recommended. Even I told that I not required for full food or heavy food but they prepared all over enough with healthy, fresh , drink ETC.
we shared a lot about experience , lifestyle.I think It’s more than vacation, more holiday, more than happiness. I so happy to meet a good people from this traveling as solo traveler.

We had a great experience with Aaron and Tamie. The bikes were in great shape and comfortable to ride. Aaron also had planned the route to cover areas both picturesque and full of natural and cultural history.
Both Aaron and Tamie were wonderful and accommodating hosts both during the bike tour, and even in the days prior when I needed to make clarifications and adjustments to the scheduled times.
I would recommend them to anyone visiting the Mt Fuji area, looking for a memorable experience.

I chose to do the 5 lake tour and I had a wonderful time with my awesome guides
Aaron and Tamie. They are super nice, down to earth people who absolutely love doing what they do. This tour included seeing the 5 lakes around Mt Fuji and he took to several Japanese Gardens, Fujiyoshida Sengen Shrine and Shiraito Falls.
Aaron leads the bike tour catering to your preferred speed and always assuring you’re okay. His TREK Bike’s were well maintained and easy to use. Tamie follows behind in the support vehicle (in case you get tired and want to ride in the car) and provides light snacks and plenty of water. She also took pictures along the route and at certain memorable points along the route.
