Your guides went over and above the call and took great care of everybody.
I’m 67 and was slower than most of the group, but one of your guides was always nearby. NOTE: The two guides alternated and kept an eye on everyone in the group.
I rented a horse for the round trip, and the guide negotiated it for me. I’d recommend the horse to anyone that is not sure if they could make it. The horse is led by local people…you just have to hold on to the saddle.
The horse takes you most of the way, but you have to walk the last half kilometer or so which is the steepest part. Again, our guides stayed nearby the entire time.
The climb is a little tougher than Machu Picchu mostly due to the altitude, but I’d definitely recommend this company and Rainbow Mountain Vs visiting another church or museum – If you can make it.
The journey was spectacular and picturesque, Rainbow Mt. is something else. Be ready to take tons of pictures.
It's a full day trip, whether you leave at 4:00am or take this one leaving at 8:00am.
The roads were winding and bumpy, but our driver navigated them extremely well.

It is not a easy hike with the altitude.But the view is amazing and totally worth the effort. We saw beautiful glacier and 🌈 mountains. Alfredo is a responsible and reliable person! We enjoyed our tour with him!
Gears such as gloves, raincoat and hiking poles are highly recommended.
