Horrible experience! If I could leave no stars I would. The tour guide was incredibly inconsiderate and it felt more like an art class instead of a tour of the Vatican. You could barely hear him even with the audio equipment. He would walk and talk, unless you were next to him you didn’t hear anything.

Our guide was great, but this is not the tour I originally booked. The first tour I booked got cancelled when I tried to pay and this was the option given to me. It was.not worth the price I paid.

We booked a 4pm tour with Crown Tours for The Vatican Museums and The Sistine Chapel. We skipped the line and went straight through with no problems. From start to finish it was fantastic and would definitely use them again. I would highly recommend them. Brilliant communication from the company and we met the tour at their offices beforehand, which was easy to find. We had an English speaking guide who spoke with enthusiasm and knowledge using headphones which was really helpful. A great tour! It was quite busy and the Sistine Chapel was packed as you can imagine but nonetheless still enjoyable.

Possibly the best guided trip I have been on.
Afternoon Vatican museum was not so crowded.
Eugene is the guide everyone should have when booking a Cultural Tour like this at Vatican Museums, because he is definitely a cultured man and his tour absolutely informative. It was a real master class like Michelangelo telling us about his project while he was painting Sistine Chapel.

Experience was less than satisfactory
Tour time was changed from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm with a promise to include St. Peter’s Basilica. We were advised to come at 11:30 am which we did. We were then told that St. Peter’s would be after the Museum& Chapel tour. We were reassured that the museum & chapel tour will finish by 3:30 pm.
We did not get to the museum till 2:15 pm.
We had arranged for a ride to and from our ship and paid for the tour to enjoy a visit to the Sistine chapel. We never got to the Chapel, the main reason for our trip.
Viator representatives rejected my request for a refund and did not even respond to me.
Shameful indeed.

Our visit with Crown Tours was well choreographed and organized. The tour guide was excellent, very knowledgeable and thoughtful throughout our time there. While entry to Vatican Museum and the Sistine Chapel was included, St. Peter’s Basilica did not have a guided tour. That said, she was kind enough to tell us about things prior to us going in. I do wish we would have been warned that the catacombs close at 6 pm (18:00) since our tour started at 3 pm (15:00) because we missed seeing St. Peter’s tomb. All in all, very good tour.
