Montserrat Natural Park is located 50 kms away from Barcelona. We get there enjoying the amazing and UNIque views from our fully equipped private transportation.

The first place we will visit in Montserrat’s Natural Park is its Benedictine Monastery, first built on the 11th century and home to Catalonia’s Patroness Saint, The Black Madonna of Montserrat which is a strong symbol of spirituality and unity for the local people.

Once we have visited the Monastery area, we hike up to the top, from where we will enjoy the breath-taking views of the Natural Park and most of the territory.

During the hike we walk on the same paths used by pilgrims hundreds of years ago, we will get inspired by Montserrat’s fascinating flora and fauna and we will also hike on UNIque ways where rocky pillars and ravines show us how inner mysterious water emerge from the hidden and undiscovered very center of the massif.

Back down in the Monastery, we have some free time before we head back to Barcelona.

Montserrat was amazing and Frank our guide was awesome! We learned the history and info on what we were seeing and the hike and it's views were beyond beautiful. I'm afraid of heights and made it through so don't let that stop you. The runners passing by and going around the hairpin turns while running might freak you out though lol. Montserrat was one of the most beautiful spots on our vacation and should not be missed.

We had a wonderful tour with time to visit the monastery with highlights explained by our guide. Then we had an easy and beautiful hike on the mountain. Our guide explained the rock formations and local plants. He was also an expert at knowing when to explain things and when to just let his guests experience nature quietly.

Thanks Juan (and Franc/o, Frank, sorry if typing the name incorrectly - for the other part of the group), for being our driver and excellent tour guide, was great! Oh and big plus for not nagging for a review like 90% companies/guides. Definately worth it.

It was a very demanding hike, ideal for me. But you should have a certain level of basic fitness, otherwise it is too strenuous.

Amazing trip! The hike and the views of the mountains is wonderful. Juan is an excellent tourguide. The hike is moderate to difficult due to the altitude.

At the meeting point, you get driven in a minibus straight to the monastery, where the tour begins. The first hour or so is spent in this area were the guide gives you the history and you can visit the basilica.
The hike is a 5km loop which takes about 2hrs in total. 1 hour up and 1 hour down. It's quite easy, you don't need to be a hiker to do this.
No walking boots or poles are necessary, trainers are fine. Just bring; a breathable t-shirt, a light jacket, some water and snacks.
Our guide, Franco, was great. He was very pleasant, chatty and knowledgeable about the Monastery and rock formations.
The tour is worth getting up early to avoid the crowds. When we got back to the minibus at 13:00hrs, the area was crazy busy!

A beautiful morning trip to Montserrat. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable. The meeting point was conveniently located just a short walk Northeast of Plaça de Catalunya. I would happily do another tour with them.
