TOUR DESCRIPTION
After 50-minute drive from Barcelona we first visit the Benedictine Abbey, first built on the 11th century and home to Catalonia’s Patroness Saint, The Black Madonna, a strong symbol of spirituality and unity for the local people.
At the Monastery area we browse amongst regional products in the local farmer’s market before we head to the ranch.
There, we enjoy an unforgettable experience on horseback over the stunning countryside at Montserrat’s National Park. We follow a three Romanesque hermitages route while we are amused by this unique, jagged and sawtooth mountain range.
Before we head back to Barcelona we still have time to relax at the ranch breathing in Nature.

I had never visited Montserrat and the Monastery, and it has been beautiful, together with our guide Jordi. The horseback ride, wonderful and very memorable. They are very good and are very well trained. Furthermore, they take care of them with a lot of love.

Such a fun and informative tour. The sights were incredible! Montserrat is a must to visit! My favorite was the horseback riding, the horses were very well trained and you can partake even if you’ve never ridden before.

We enjoyed seeing Montserrat and going for a trail ride. The views are beautiful and the horses are amazing. Frank did an excellent job as our guide and this was definitely the highlight of our trip!

Jordi was our driver and guide at the monastery. He was supper friendly and knowledgeable about the geology of the area and the monastery. The horseback ride was fun but a short stop at the turn around point for a few pictures would have been nice.

Walking to the view spot (Cross) and the horseback riding. Such beautiful well kept and gentle horses and amazing views. Of course the really warm weather was amazing too!

Frank was absolutely wonderful! We loved our tour! Was an excellent balance of exploring a bit but also getting a nice amount of information and guidance. The cable car up then hike down was a perfect amount of exercise that we still got to take in incredible views but weren’t left sweating buckets after haha! Would highly recommend this! The pick up and drop off was super nice too!
