Has it been a while since your last scuba dive? Upgrade to a Certified Scuba Review Dive for an extra cost. You will refresh your knowledge of equipment assembly, safety checks, and a few skills at the beginning of the dive.

This is our second time in Maui and our second time diving with Banyan Tree Divers. I cannot say enough about how kind, courteous and safe they are! They know all of the greatest dive spots and they go out of their way to make sure everyone is enjoying themselves!

Went on 2 shore dives off Kahekili beach with Kevin and two other divers. Great experience with a nice small group! Kevin was super personable and went over our dive plan and safety protocols without being over bearing. He gave us clear instructions for our entry in some decent surf and everyone got in and back out without issue. I really appreciated the photos since I never have any pics of myself while diving. Definitely recommend!

Banyan Tree Divers continues to impress me every time. I’ve dove with just about every one of the Instructors and keep coming away impress. My latest have been with Kevin and Caitlin. They have been spot on with communications regarding dates and sites. Prior to each dive, they always take the time to first understand who & what kind of diver you are. They make sure that even when you’re in a mixed group, each person gets the attention that they need when it’s needed. Safety is #1 for them, starting with the briefings and going through the dive. They make sure everyone is safe yet having a good time without feeling like you have mother hen watching over you. They are very observant and are not only pointing out the cool things on the dive but will work with divers to make sure they have no issues during the dive, wether it be ears not equalizing or buoyancy issues after coming shallow from a deeper dive. They know the Kaanapali area incredibly well.

My last scuba dive trip was in 2016 and I tend to be a little nervous about the whole thing only just being certified at 43 yrs old. Ms. Caitlin did a thorough review with me and we did practice some important skills prior to our dive. She made me calm and most importantly I felt safe. We saw sea turtles and numerous reef fish even some rare and indigenous species. The reef is teeming with life. I highly recommend for new and experienced divers to sign up with Banyan Tree Divers. Caitlin was the most amazing dive master! The ocean was a bit challenging to get in and out that day, but Caitlin was patient and knew the right things to do to get in and out safely. She also found all the cool things like an octopus, two varieties of eel, stonefish and a nudibranch, among others. The whales were singing loudly during the whole dive. An awesome experience!!!

Kevin and Caitlin are so easy to work with and incredibly kind, friendly, and all around amazing people! I dove with Kevin in 2017 and had the best experience. I came back to Maui and had to dive with Kevin again. He makes you feel, safe, relaxed, calm. He helped find my first octopus I’ve seen diving! The equipment is top notch and the shore dive is a nice entrance/exit. The dives are beautiful and we saw some amazing things: fish, large turtle, eel, flounder, octopus. You can also hear the whales underwater which was such a cool experience. If you are staying near Westin or anywhere close to K’anapali beach it’s a perfect little walk to the beach they dive from. I hope to make it back to Maui and dive with them again. Until next time! Mahalo!

I can’t give this company a better review. I had them do an advanced scuba certification. They were totally professional both before when they had to reschedule due to weather, or the first day helping through some breaks getting in the water to making all the dives feel easy and fun
Pictures that the guide took and pics they let me capture from their camera. Make the trip more memorable.
If you are going to shore dive on Maui take a trip with Banyan Tree Divers.

Booking the dive and the communication later was very easy. Kevin, the dive master was GREAT. My son loved diving with him. I highly recommend taking the photo package as an add on. Kevin took lots of great pictures and short videos which turned to be great memories.

I had to change my dive at the last second and they were able to accommodate me! Our dive guide had a wonderful balance of “we’re here to have fun” and maintaining essential safety protocol. Sometimes places are extremely lax, and they threaded the needle perfectly. Will book with them again next time I’m on island
