Best of Douro Valley Wine Full Day Private Tour

An unbelievable day! My wife and I had a full day private tour with Bruno. We had an expectation of magnificent views, wine/port vineyard tastings, and a relaxing day.

Bruno did not disappoint! We were treated to two small vineyards...where one owner shared her home and the other their operation and wine/port making process...very personal and very lovely people. Many tastings, and special Portuguese lunch experiences...unforgetable. We ended up having wine/port shipped back to the US...including a very special bottle of 1858 port...magnificent!

Driving the area provided many great views as well.

Bruno is very personable, knowledgeable, and respected, and shares his love of the Douro Valley. It is clear his relationships with vineyard owners is very special.

Being in Portugal for two weeks...our day with Bruno in the Douro Valley was a top experience of our trip.

Loved the tour of smaller quintas, Bruno's flexibility to make the trip what we wanted, and his bubbling personality and local stories made this a memorable experience.

We live and work in wine country in California, so we‘ve done our fair share of wine tasting. Bruno brought us on an amazing adventure. Small wineries, excellent wines, as well as giving us the history of the region and Portugal. He is knowledgeable about every aspect of wine, from growing to production. I would recommend a day with Bruno to any and all friends who are looking for a great experience. Thank you, Bruno!

Our full day, private tour of the Douro Valley region was wonderful. Not only was Bruno an amazing and knowledgeable guide he accommodated our group of six women with flexibility and ease. We learned so much from him about the wines and history of the wine makers there. Couldn’t have asked for a better host. He spoke English very well and we were able to understand his accent with no problem.

This was my second time in Douro and second time we hired Bruno and we will do it again on our next trip! His service is exceptional! He is super funny, professional, very knowledgeable and extremely passionate. He is punctual and responds to messages right away. He knows how to plan. We had an amazing time at all the wineries he picked for us. Everything was quaint the way we like and left us with some of the best memories from the trip. Bruno also helped us organize other activities and transfer from Douro to Cascais. He basically arranged our entire stay in Douro on top of the private tour we did together! I would highly recommend him. He is one of my favorite tour guides:)

We spent an amazing day with Bruno while visiting the Douro Valley. He picked us up from our Quinta and drove us around the countryside telling us the history of the region and his experience growing up there. We visited two small wineries owned and operated by locals. Both were wonderful experiences, especially the home-made lunch where we got to sample some of the best food we had our entire trip to Portugal. We also visited Senhora dos Remedios and got to see it's beautiful interior and many steps. Bruno was fun, entertaining and gave us a full cultural, wine and culinary experience. I would highly recommend hiring Bruno as your guide!

Bruno picked us up on time at 9am at our Porto hotel in a beautiful black Pugeot SUV that had a very smooth ride. He drove us through the Douro Valley with stops at 2 family wineries and also some regional attractions. We were back ant our hotel a little after the 6pm. Overall, the trip was wonderful despite some rare bad weather in May. He was very professional and even did some wine research for my dad who lives in the area. Highly recommend Bruno. He has a great energy. Just be prepared for a lot of driving with beautiful scenery.

Amazing tour by Bruno. Having grown up and lived in the area, his local knowledge and relationships with winemakers is unmatched. A lovely day and extremely special experience that made for a memorable trip to Portugal.

What a great day in the Douro Valley with Bruno as our guide. He was extremely knowledgeable about the area (as he lives in the valley). He was also very funny and personable. It was like exploring the area with a friend. He picked fantastic small wineries for us to visit. Obrigado Bruno for an amazing day!

We had an absolutely great time on our tour of Douro Valley with Bruno. As a local, Bruno brings a lot of excellent information and insight - not only on wine and winemaking, but the history and culture of this beautiful part of Portugal. Bruno's communication was excellent throughout the planning process.

We visited two family wineries where we were treated like honored guests. We tasted incredible table wines and ports, learned about the traditional production processes used in the wineries, and had amazing home made snacks and dishes. The scenery throughout the Valley is incredible as well. This was the highlight of our trip to Portugal - do yourself a favor and book with Bruno now!
