Start your day with a drive along a spectacular costal road heading to Bahoruco. Hidden in the mountains of this secluded area the only Larimar Mine in the world can be found. You have the opportunity to interact with the miners and to have an insight look into the hard work they realize and to take your chance to go on a treasure hunt and search for a Larimar stone by yourself. You visit a Larimar Show and are shown, how the stone is processed regularly and also have the opportunity to try it yourself. Lunch is not included and must be paid separately. At the end of the tour you stop by a natural pool and can have a dip in the refreshing cold.

This company went above and beyond my expectations for a tour company.I enjoy doing excursions when travelling as it gives you a different perspective on the culture you are visiting. These guys hit the mark on this one, their love for the beauty of their country is obvious and the joy and excitement of sharing it is contagious.
We had booked one day for a tour and ended up sharing the next day as well as there was so much to see.
The attention to detail and concern for our comfort was always top priority.
There is a lot of the world out there to explore but because of this tour company Dominican may be a repeat destination on my calendar.
Highly recommend, wonderful, positive experience. Can’t say enough of the professionalism, friendliness and knowledge of this company

It would be improved by actually delivering the whole experience we paid for as described on TripAdvisor.
The first half of the tour, the mine, went relatively well. The driver arrived about 10 mins late but we got to the mine ok. Unfortunately the guide at the mine wasn't there so a supervisor for the mine showed us round instead. This was not a problem, the tour was very informative.
The second part of the experience was not as expected in the slightest. We were taken to a processing location and shown the tools used. After that we were asked if we wanted to buy something and taken back to the hotel. We didn't see anyone actually working the stone, let alone work our own jewel as a souvenir!
The whole thing was done in under 3hrs! That's less than half the time we expected to be out and we didn't get our hands on experience or a souvenir! We were very disappointed and we now feel that the tour is not worth what we paid.

Perfect and very professional tour with an on time pickup, good vehicle and very friendly and english speaking guide. A lot of interesting information was provided during the tour and the guide also answered a lot of my extra questions. The only thing which was not very clear from the description is that the picnic lunch was not included in the price. There was a chance to order something to eat, but I didn't take advantage of it as I wasn't very hungry. I can definitely recommend this tour to anyone who is interested to see something else than just beaches. I was the only attendant on the selected day (possibly because of Covid times) and I enjoyed it a lot.
