Discover two magical places in just one day. Covering an area of 1374 km² the Jaragua National Park is the largest national park in the Dominican Republic and convinces with its variety of ecosystems. Both the Oviedo Lagoon as well as the beach of Bahia de las Aguilas can be found here. Drive along the scenic costal road via San Rafael, Paraiso and Los Patos, through the national park heading to Cabo Rojo, where a boat awaits you. After a 15-minute ride with the boat you will be reaching the beautiful and isolated Bahía de las Águilas, which is considered to be the most beautiful beach in the country. You have the chance to go swimming or just relax. Enjoy the pristine white sand of this 8 km long beach.
On the way back its optional to stop for lunch (its not included & has to be paid directly on sight).
Continue to Oviedo a small village before reaching the Oviedo Lagoon. Go on a trip to the iguana island and enjoy an amazing panoramic view from a scenic outpost.

We did 3 tours with them, all was a good experience. Our guide, Efrain, was very kind and knowledgeable. He told us everything about the region. He's obsessed with nature and birds, we had a great time together. He realized that we like to be calm and quiet in nature, so he switched the destinations, we went first to Bahia de las Aguilas and then to Laguna Oviedo. That meant we were almost alone at the beach. The white sand beach of Bahia de las Aguilas was also amazing, the water was crystal clear. Laguna Oviedo is a wonderful, untouched place, we saw a wide variety of birds and we could see the iguanas directly face to face. Efrain and the national park tour guide were both well prepared. Don't forget to take your binoculars with you.

Our guide (Jasmine) was very knowledgeable about the tour. Her English was more than perfect and she explained everything really well. We were a couple on holiday for 7 days, this was by far our best experience, I can only recommend this tour to everyone!
The driver (Jose) was great too, in this country most people drive very dangerous, the road is a dangerous place as well with all the bikes, etc. But he gave us a safe feeling during the trip!

Our first trip and they did not disappoint. The drive is a bit hard so I took motion sickness meds. But once we got to the lake and Bahia De Las Águila it was all worth while. I did not want to get out of the water.
Efrain and our driver Ronald are amazing guides. Highly recommend!
