St. Anthony is the oldest life monastery (Coptic Orthodox) in the world, dated back to the 4th century, which lies in the nowhere in between the mountains of the Red Sea, about 3 hours drive from Hurghada.
We will be able to see the oldest church, historic icons, the monks cells, the water creek ”spring”, the monastery farm and the towers which they used to lift people from outside the monastery into inside.

We have been visiting many landmarks of Egypt with him for several years now. He is full of knowledge, patient (which is very important to me) and knows when the time is right for a tour. He knows the monks in the monasteries and we are always welcome. We went to dinner in restaurants that you can't find on your own and ate authentic food! He explains beautifully and he is born for this job! This photos are from St. Paul monastery. 2 years ago we were at St. Anthony❤
