Having a guide is the best way to go, so much to see and so much history to hear about. The whole city has so much history it’s hard to think about how old the city really is.🤗👍😎

We had an excellent tour round Colosseum, Palatine Hill and the Forum Roman. Maria, our guide, knew what she was talking about and she was a brilliant communicator.
We enjoyed the tour deep down in the lower part of Colosseum.

We were not able to go due to leaving cellphone in taxi and returned to us after tour started. I tried to cancel, but was not able to get refund or rebooking. Disappointed

This was a really amazing experience and one not to be missed, the forum ….etc was very thought provoking and highlighted the Power and Wealth of the Roman Empire over its many centuries of rule over a vast area of the globe. Many Triumphs demonstrated by the many Arches ….. so many people from different nations killed…! All coming to a climax at the Colosseum that was built by the Jews following the sacking of Jerusalem by Titus who brought back over 30,000 Jews as slaves to built it. Over the centuries over 1 million lost their lives in it….. all in the name of Rome!!. The guide we had was really brilliant, so knowledgeable!!

Fantastic way to spend 3 hours although the time flew so seemed much shorter! Our tour was led by ALBERTO whose knowledge was incredible & spoken English quite amazing! Can’t recommend enough!

We had trouble locating the starting location, there were so many tour groups and the starting place description was not detailed enough. We went outside the metro, inside the metro, upstairs outside, and had trouble locating the starting location. We attempted to ask other tour guides as they were walking past us, but they were either rude and waved their hands to the upper area, or they flat ignored us. It was incredibly frustrating. When we finally found the right location we were 8-minutes late and our group had left. The two staff at the waiting area were unsympathetic and it felt like they hear this kind of issue all the time.
Ultimately we were offered to hang around and see if a future sold out group had someone what would not make it on schedule and we could take their spot, otherwise we would not be able to attend any tour at all. We luckily joined a group an hour later. The new group did not have the Arena Access we had paid for, but we did make it inside. What a relief. The process was WAY MORE STRESSFUL than was necessary. We've taken other tours where the directions were easier to follow.
The tour itself was excellent. The guide was knowledgeable, friendly and funny.
