Our chef Kako and the two young ladies Maya and Sofie were amazing hosts to this wonderful culinary experience. It was a great end to our trip to Barcelona. The food was incredible but most of all our hosts were spectacular

Authentic, fun and we learned some tricks. The meal was great! The tips at the market were appreciated and the SanGria was excellent.

Positives: hosts were very personable, informative and the alcohol was plentiful. Overall we had a nice time and met other interesting travelers. The food tasted good.
Negatives: they over booked the event. Host told us they could only accompany 14 people into the market but we had 16. She asked for volunteers to stay behind. I. The end we all got in but they should cap it at 14. In the kitchen we did all assist in the cooking of a paella but unlike other cooking classes I have been to we did not cook our OWN paella. Again with fewer people, there may have been more opportunity to be directly involved. Finally while the facility was sufficient to cook what we needed, the building itself was in a severe state of disrepair. There was water actively coming in through the ceiling near the eating area. It was pouring into a bucket which over flowed. There were holes in the wall and the electrical outlets were dangling from the walls. In spite of all that we had fun chatting and drinking and eating. But you should expect more of a social activity than a cooking class.

Lots of fun helping with the paella. The market was cool but didn't spend that much time there. It is a big class though- we had 16 in our group so keep that in mind.
Kako was great and funny. Bring money for a tip.
So glad we decided to do it!

Had a great time with Liz making Paella! We got a lesson on the history and how to make it and then spent the evening making Paella with endless sangria! Would definitely recommend as a date night while in Barcelona!

The wonderful personality of our hosts
The intimate small group setting made this a really nice experience….even though there was a lack of flavor in the food.

We loved the Paella experience with Liz and Kakao. They were both amazing and attentive. Liz showed us the market and gave us great history. They were a blast cooking and bantering together. The food was excellent (Kakao is in fact the best cook in the land) and the group was really fun. We all connected immediately and talked all night enjoying sangria. Highly recommend this fantastic experience. It was perfect for our family with kids ages 18 and 24.
