We pick you up from the hotel and go to the Kakheti region. We have wine tasting on the way in the biggest winery KTW, where we taste 5 types of wines and then continue the way to explore Bodbe Monastery and Signagi-city of Love. Kakhetian Traditional Winemaking Factory (Kakhetian Traditional Winemaking” is one of the largest wine and spirits producing companies in Georgia and the Caucasus region. Established in 2001, KTW produces wine, brandy, sparkling wine, and chacha with traditional Georgian techniques mixed with the state of art technologies. This allows the company to preserve an old, unique taste of wine and create its own signature style to spread to the world. We will have the possibility to visit the Wine factory and try 5 types of Georgian wine and 10 years of Brandy. Advice: •Take your bottle of water to drink it between wine tasting. •In a wine factory can be low temperature so take your jackets. •Chkhaveri – White Dry Wine. KTW’s signature wine “Chkhaveri” dates back to 1880 to the village Askana, where wine-maker Antimoz Chkhaidze founded one of the most prominent wine cellars of that period. He used unique grapes in that region and made a brand new wine type. He named it: “Chkhaveri”.

The monastery of St. Nino is located in the village of Bodbe, in the Sighnaghi region, Kakheti. The territory of the monastery is decorated with flower beds and bushes, vineyards, and a healing spring. The history of the monastery is closely connected with the adoption of Christianity. According to the legend, after the adoption of Christianity, King Miriani had a dream: four stars flew across the four mountains of Georgia and one of the rays was near Bobde. Nino went there to put a cross on that very place. She lived very modestly in a tent where she died. She was buried in the place where her tent was. At the beginning of the IV century, a monastery was built on the site of the tent. The grave of Nino is located inside the monastery, under the altar, and the altar is strictly forbidden to be photographed.

Signagi is a small beautiful town in the Kakhetian region. About 10 years ago it was the forgotten dull town, which after the extensive restoration has become a delightful civilized tourist center with cobbled streets and cozy houses with bright red tile roofs. The town’s architecture is made in the style of southern Italian classicism. There have also been built a number of hotels and guest houses corresponding to any taste and preferences. Signagi is also known as “the town of love”, and the reason is that there is a special wedding house, where you can get married at any time without prior delivery of documents.

A great way to spend the day outside Tbilisi. Ample time allocated per stop. Gives you a good sense of the Georgian history and culture. Givi was an awesome guide, we had a lot of fun and he’s also nice with young kids.

We booked a private tour for our first trip to Kakheti region. It was splendid! Our guide Dima and Abel were fantastic. They made us laugh out every point and gave us full information on all the stops. They were very respectful and helpful, never had a dull moment with both of them. The wines were really tasty too. I would totally recommend this trip, it’s a must visit while staying in Georgia.

Loved it! the tour gide was super attentive and friendly, I could say that he introduced us to some hidden gems of the area: we tasted factory wines (delicious), home-made wines (even more delicious), baked our own bread, played with puppies, walked through the great wall of Georgia and even had a bonus-tasting of local drinks. I recommend! 11/10

Mari and Abel were a terrific team. They were entertaining, informative and showed us the best of the Georgian winelands.

An exquisite private tour with our excellent tour guide Givi. He was so incredibly knowledgeable and fantastic tour guide especially in culture and history of Georgia. We learnt a lot from him. We became comfortable while we are in a tour even we are only 3pax since its a private tour but we felt that we are at home because of him. Gmadlobt Givi and Budget Friendly Tours in Georgia.
