Guides were wonderful (Cammie the marine biologist and Victor the driver). Nice lunch of ceviche on a beautiful beach. Equipment was clean and in excellent condition. Too many pangas and people are allowed at one time in the water to see the sea lions. We did this same tour about 12 years ago and it was so much better...but we understand the need to protect the animals.

We visited La Paz on a cruise and booked this tour for the day we were there. We did have to get from the port in Pichilingue to the meeting point in La Paz (about a 30 minute drive, but our ship offered a free shuttle to town), but since the tour was private, they were able to tailor it to the amount of time that we had and they were able to drop us off right next to the cruise ship.
The actual tour was fantastic! We had a quick stop at Balandra Bay, which is gorgeous, before continuing to the area with the sea lions. It's about an hour and a half boat ride, but was absolutely worth it once we got there. It was amazing to swim with the sea lions and the snorkeling was some of the best we've done. We were also able to see crabs, rays, and sea turtles along the way.
After snorkeling, we went to a beach that looked like it was from a postcard, and we had it almost completely to ourselves. We ate delicious ceviche and had a chance to swim and try out the paddleboards.
We would've loved to have more time to explore this beautiful area, but it was time to head back to our cruise ship, and they were very careful to make sure we arrived back in plenty of time. All in all, a fantastic day, and guide Reidar was awesome!

We loved the private group experience! Excellent snorkeling sites...tasty and healthful lunch...excellent and informative commentary from Allen, our guide. One of the private group benefits is the ability to adjust the schedule to suit your taste, with some flexibility in departure and return to port.
