We met with Ben and off we went for our 8 mile hike through the beautiful Dublin Mountains on a unusually warm day in September (80 degrees) . Ben was very imformative on many subjects from the trail horticulture and tombs and Irelands people, economy and politics. He was even kind enough to sing us an old Irish song. We stopped for lunch before we headed back to Dublin City Center. It was a wonderful day!! Thank you Ben!

Husband and I are fairly active and this hike was very manageable. Approximately 8 miles. Ben's communication leading up to the hike was excellent - we knew exactly what to bring and what to expect. He also pointed out interesting facts about the vegetation and sites along the way. We highly recommend taking this excursion!

We had an absolutely wonderful hike with Ben! The nature was beautiful, captivating, and very peaceful, with just the right amount of isolation from others. We loved the ancient tombs, as well as learning various things about Ireland from Ben, whether it be about the flora and fauna, or its millennium-old history.
Ben did an outstanding job! If you love hiking and nature, as well as a guide that takes care of you in small groups, I strongly urge that you do this tour with him.
If you're curious as to why he only has <10 reviews on TripAdvisor (for this tour specifically), it's because he gets bookings from everywhere, including his own website. Don't be put off by it - Ben's a veteran, and this tour is absolutely a hidden (but no so hidden after all) gem. Do yourself a favor, and book it now!

This was one of the most fun experiences that I have had traveling solo. The hike was paced to the participants, the weather was fine, the tombs were fascinating and Ben was a great guide. It was fun, a learning experience in Irish history, geology and wildlife. Thank you so much.

Had a lovely time hiking with Ben. He had so much knowledge of Irish history and I learned a lot. The tombs and the views were my favorite part. The hike was gorgeous. You should definitely book this hike.

We had very nice Hike with Ben.
I was with a group of friends.
The landscape and the colors were very nice this time of the year ( october). Ben picked us up at our Hotel in Dublin and went all together to Howth by bus. He was well prepared (first aid kit, trekking poles) for any inconvenience we could face. He told us about the different places and stories and at the end we got a small documentary file with a link with pictures and maps of the Hike.

The experience is really great: spectacular views, accessible location and easy enough route. Ben is very thoughtful and we'll prepared guide. He is authentic, great personality, very kind, super-knowledgeble, like a librarian) Fantastic storyteller, I learned a lot about Dublin history. Not the least important, the hike is safe and Ben is certified and experienced.
Highly recommended, you won't regret!

History. Culture. Nature. These were what I expected and got fulfilled. And much more. Ben is an excellent storyteller, rich with historical & political perspective. The hike itself was a good work out but not too challenging. In other words, a wonderful and enjoyable experience. I will do any other hike with Ben again when I am going to Dublin next time.

Hands down best local guide in Dublin. Ben has been nothing but great. True storyteller, great heart - he has made the whole experience even better than expected. Able to cherry-pick small details here and there, Ben makes you embark on a journey where nature meets history.
