We had a great day out with Amara Bali Family Tour. We were picked up at our hotel in Ubud and taken to the starting point. Then taken on a bike ride through local villages, rice terraces and past many beautiful temples. The tour itself provides a unique insight into a different side of Bali outside of the cities and towns, I don’t believe you would get to see without doing a tour like this. The views were beautiful throughout and our guide was happy to stop whenever we wanted to take photos or needed a quick water break.

Kadek, our guide, had a fantastic grasp of English. Meaning he could answer all of our questions, explain in detail what life is like for locals and help us understand Balinese culture/family traditions.

All in all the tour was great value for money as we received pick up/drop off at our hotel, 4-5 hours cycling (with stops in between) and then lunch at the final destination (which was delicious).

If it isn’t obvious by their name, Amara Bali Family Tour, it is a family business run by local Balinese. So you’re not only supporting local people, it is also a fantastic tour to get a deeper understanding of Balinese life. Highly recommend.

Very nice and patient Guide who tells a lot about Bali and life in the countryside. You will be picked up on time in a fine car. There is also someone riding in a pickup with spare bikes throughout the trip in case there is a flat tire or something. It also stops traffic at the busy intersections.
Food at the restaurant included and tasty.

Was such a wonderful day spent with Kadek from Amara Bali. We are a family of four, kids are 13 and 16, with pretty ordinary fitness levels and it was fantastic! Saw so much, up close in the rice fields, happy waving children, homes and villages. Delicious lunch to finish the day. Highly highly recommend to everyone

We had a great time during the cycling tour. We visited beautiful rice terraces, went to a coffee plantation and learnt more about the culture and life of local people. Kadek is a very enthusiastic storyteller and a great guide!

this was one of the best activities on our trip, especially because our tour guide was so friendly and funny. The tour includes a trip to one of the Luwak coffee plantations (a popular addition to most of the tours we found), a cycling tour through the local villages, followed by a delicious lunch in one of the rice fields. Our tour guide, Kadek was absolutely amazing. He really wants everyone to have a good time. The bike tour is beautiful and all downhill for those nervous about the level of difficulty. We literally never pedaled. I highly recommend this company for a cycling tour in Ubud.

Had a really nice afternoon with our guide Made (or Kadek). While cycling, we stopped at several (beautiful) spots between the paddy fields and received explanations and had a delicious lunch at the end. Made, thank you for this wonderful experience!

This tour was amazing and is an absolute must do if you want to get a better feel for rural balinese life and see some beautiful sights.

We did the cycle tour with our 2x kids (4 & 6 years) and they loved it! Kadek our tour guide was the best, he was amazing with the kids and was very informative and spoke very good English.

Also the lunch was delicious with a great view!

We are a couple of oldies (54 and 56) who do cycle at home, but just wanted to cruise downhill, in holiday mode. This tour was perfect. We were picked up from our hotel at 10.30. It's a fair drive from Legian / Kuta / Seminyak, but definitely worth it. Everything was provided, including helmets and bottled drinking water. The bikes were in good condition and suitable for the tour. We stopped to look at rice terraces and working rice fields. We visited a family compound and Kadek introduced us to some interesting information about Balinese culture and way of life. We visited a temple and cycled through a dozen villages. All up, we went downhill for about 27kms! The cycling part of our trip ended at a warung at 4.45pm, for a delicious meal. A great day out in the island! Would highly recommend this tour to anyone who can balance on two wheels. #balinaturalcyclingtour
