Rafting down Tenorio River
12 kilometers (about 2 hours) of the Tenorio River, passing through sections dominated by over 22 class III-IV whitewater rapids. In smoother sections, take a look around at the lush, forested scenery & spot tropical birds or monkeys high in the trees. This unique rafting tour finishes with the thrilling 12-foot waterfall drop, “Cascabel Falls.”
When you arrive to the end of your exciting rafting journey at our private river exit, do a quick hike to the 4×4 vehicle, and then head back to to the tour base in Canas.
After arriving back to the tour base, you’ll then be treated to a delicious Costa RIca Style lunch called a Casado with rice, beans, salad, plantains, and choice of protien. Dietary restrictions can be accommodated.

Whitewater rafting experience on Rio Tenorio with Mario was excellent! My family and I were traveling through Costa Rica and booked this excursion. Booking was simple and straightforward. From the moment we arrived all guides, including Mario treated us with first class service. My daughter was the youngest on the tour and she was a bit apprehensive. Mario made her feel very comfortable and she was laughing throughout the trip. These class three and four rapids were intense and lots of fun action was nonstop! Definitely booked this trip and if possible, recommend Mario!

Juan and Mario were our guides and they were FANTASTIC!!! Learned a lot about the culture and nature of CR. Felt very safe as they were extremely experienced. Lunch after the rafting was delicious!!! Thank you thank you thank you!

Highly recommend this excursion & this company! The trip was fantastic and our guide, Luis, was great!! When he wasn’t guiding us through the rapids, he was teaching us about Costa Rica and the many beautiful things the country has to offer. The food was top notch. This company is so well organized. They even take multiple pictures of you throughout your rafting trip so that you don’t have to worry about bringing a camera! 100% must do when in Costa Rica.

SAM WAS THE BEST!!!! he has been a guide for 27 years so he knows every rock and every animal on the river! he spotted so many animals on the way and was super good at guiding us around everything. instead of weaving through rocks and getting stuck on them he would turn us sideways so when we hit the rocks it would push us facing forward. very smart and super fun. he made it a super fun experience

Highlight of our entire trip (even with low water)! The scenery is breathtaking (plus we saw so many monkeys!) and the river has many rapids and even a few waterfalls you go over! We also were able to swim in several spots and jump off rocks too. Mario, our guide, was knowledgeable and so skilled with the raft! We had the best time! Highly recommend.

This was a fantastic excursion. Our guides were very experienced so we felt at ease the whole time. Jason was our guide, and he was so good at navigating the river and pointing things out to us (we had an audience of monkeys for a good part of the trip)! Lunch was tasty, and the photographer did a great job capturing our exciting trip. Want to go again!

Such a beautiful and fun day! Steven was a fantastic guide with a great sense of humor. We laughed the whole time! Saw monkeys, toucans, iguanas and so much natural beauty. I was a first-timer, but felt completely safe. Thanks for an amazing adventure Steven!!!

Recommendable! It's a great way to see nature from within. We went as a family for our first rafting experience and we loved it. Junior was our guide and he made sure that we were able to see the animal species in the area and that we enjoyed our trip down the river, giving us instructions on how to do it safely.
Then they gave us a delicious lunch and we were able to see our photos (the price of which is separate from the experience).
