It was amazing they undersell how much fun the tubing it- way better then white water rafting. It was some the best zip lining we have ever done.

This tour is as so much fun and was a highlight of our trip. I’m so glad we booked it.

Here’s extra info for anyone who may read through to many comments and try to perfectly plan things out ahead of time like me 😅:
We were picked up from Andaz and paid an additional $50 per our group (not per person) to be picked up.

After that we were driven to the meetup place and had about 20 minutes before leaving. At the store we bought water shoes for about $11 each.

We then got to Hacienda Guachipelin where all the activities and lunch are within the area with a bit of driving. We started out with the horseback ride for 30 minutes. Most all of the horses seemed very healthy, but my poor horse was just skin and bones and I was so worried about my horse the whole ride. That did not seem to be the case with the other horses though. Our whole group was maybe about 30+ people and was pretty big.

After, we did the 1.2 hour river tubing. The scenery and staff help during this was amazing. So many incredible views! Quite a few rapids too, more than I expected.

Next up was the zip line course, but was honestly more like an adventure course. Many different zip lines, including over a river, rock climbing up the side of the river wall, a Tarzan swing, and a few other fun climbing activities. Much more fun than any other zip line course I’ve done in the past.

After we went to grab the buffet lunch which was absolutely delicious. We had a chance to see the pictures they took of us tubing and zip lining. Since the activities had a lot of water and required two hands most the time it was hard to get any decent photos yourself. They offered photos for $50 for our group of two. I would recommend getting a water proof case for your phone so you can still bring it with you!

Lastly was the hot springs which felt nice to relax in at the end of the day.

I wish we would have brought an extra set of dry clean clothes to change into! Our bus driver was blasting the AC and I was freezing by the time we got out since I was still so wet. The whole day was raining quite a bit so all our clothes were wet.

We drove back to a different store (this one a more touristy store) before getting on our separate buses to go home. The tourist store was cute and the prices didn’t seem to be too jacked up and we were able to get a few things.

All in all an excellent day, just a long one! We left at 7:20 and got around 5 PM.

This was a fun filled day of adventure! Each activity was diverse enough that everyone can find something to enjoy. We actually wore hiking boots on the river rafting and the added ankle protection from the rocks was a very good decision. We started with rafting and then had to change for the zip lining and horse riding before going back in the water for the hot springs. That was the only inconvenient part.

This was such a fun day! We were picked up right in front of our villa in Coco, which was a treat. Cesar was a wonderful host to our group. After about a two hour very windy drive through the jungle with stops picking up others and a pit stop for snacks/restrooms, we arrived at the park. There were tons of people there, but things were run very efficiently - you could tell they were used to getting a lot of people through (although the safety briefings felt a little rushed). We zip lined first, followed by horseback riding, followed by tubing, then lunch. Lastly we drove to the hot springs. We finished up with everything about 3:45 but were last to be dropped off so made it back about 6:45 pm. Few tips - wear insect repellant! There were so many mosquitos (rainy season beginning of June.) Also wear non-slip close toed shoes - you will be hiking and climbing a lot. My teens were in crocs and wished they had worn something different. If you’re not in good physical shape, don’t do the optional rappel down into the ravine during the zip lines - it’s a really hard climb straight up out of there and you’ll have another required easier climb afterwards to get your adventure fix. Tubing was amazing - watch your feet and wear good shoes as there’s a pretty good uphill climb out of there carrying a tube. The guys helping with the tubing did a great job keeping everyone safe as the rapids were intense! Eat something for breakfast as lunch isn’t until around 2:00 pm. We were totally fine in shorts for the horseback ride - tour says to bring pants but it was not required. I had my cell phone in a pouch around my neck for pictures but they also have employees with cameras taking pictures throughout the day that you can buy at the end for around $80. The hot springs are not onsite with everything else but they were a treat after a long physical day!

This was an amazing adventure & fun-filled activities for the entire day! They do take some awesome photos you can buy. Only thing is that they tell you the photos capture all the activities - including horseback riding but the photos only cover the white water tubing & zipline - but they do take a lot. Would highly recommend this excursion while in Costa Rica. The excursion and guides - a 5 star. However the misleading info re photos to try & sell I take off 1/2 a star. I would have bought the package if told the only activities were covered were the 2 activities.

The most fun for our party of 6 was DEFINITELY the tubing. The water was fast and refreshing. They also had lots guides out helping if people got stuck etc....The horse riding was alittle lame, it seemed like a time filler. The ziplines themselves were short but the challenging and different part of crossing horizontally then up was good...the guides were helpful and it felt safe. Also depending on where you are staying using the pickup service was well worth the money.

Terrible communication! I booked this excursion and selected the option to be pickup at a hotel near me via a dropdown box. After my purchase was completed I received a confirmation that stated it would be self driven. I immediately contacted the representative to make them aware of this error. After re reading the description, I paid and setup transportation to the pickup location. When I was ready to met this morning, I found that the hotel was no longer in the original pick up list. I contacted the representative and was advised by the company to contact Viator directly. They scammed me!!!! Now I’m trying to find an active form of communication from Viator!
