What an incredible find on this tiny Caribbean island! This museum/art gallery is a must-see for Star Wars fans or anyone who is interested in movie making in general and creature creation/practical special effects and costuming specifically. It is chock full of original and replica pieces from proprietor Nick Maley's notable career in film, mostly from Star Wars but also such films as Men in Black, Krull, The Highlander, and more. For those who just find this place randomly, Nick is best known as one of the original creators of the Yoda puppet first used in The Empire Strikes Back among MANY other things.

The highlight of our visit was getting to spend some time with Nick himself and hear first-hand some of his captivating recollections of his time working on the original Star Wars trilogy. He welcomed us into the gallery and invited us to explore and ask him any questions we might have. He has an encyclopedic knowledge of movie-making and was so gracious as to spend lots of time with us personally showing us around the front of the museum which has many unique collectibles for display and also for sale. We were lucky to be there when only one other small group was there and it felt like we were getting a personalized tour. I left with a signed copy of Nick's book and two signed pieces of Star Wars memorabilia ready for framing.

The museum tour is self-directed and if you stop and watch all the videos and read all the very informative explanations posted at each display, you can probably see everything in about 90 minutes. But plan to spend at least that long here or you'll definitely miss some amazing details.

I can't recommend this place highly enough for Star Wars fans of all ages (although very small children may quickly lose interest in the static displays) as well as anyone who has even a passing interest in the magic and hard work that goes into creating the movies that mean so much to us. 10/10 would visit again and again!

Thank you, Nick & Gloria for creating and maintaining such a wonderful place. May the Force be with you, always!

My husband and I visited on a cruise to St.Marteen (April 2023) and booked the cruise just because it stopped here! We both grew up with Star Wars and our first date was on May the 4th so to say we are big SW Nerds is an understatement.
This exhibit and tour is absolutely INCREDIBLE!! We really enjoyed the whole experience so much so we will be visiting again in October on another cruise and bringing our best friend who is also obsessed with SW.
Meeting Mr.Maley was definitely a highlight of our whole trip, he took the time to chat with us and show us his projects, told us stories of his time making art work and movie props for the many other films he was involved with! He and his wife are such sweet folks and we cant wait to come visit again!

I can not express the thrill of seeing one of a kind and original memorabilia from my favorite movies. The experience is made even more authentic and memorable with getting to meet and speak with a real icon, Nick Maley. He is extremely personable and truly a joy to speak with. He answered questions and gave his personal opinions. I was able to purchase a gorgeous piece of his art work and my friend came away with a page of original script used in the filming. Mr Maley put me at ease even though I was totally star struck. Thank you sir for this amazing experience and I hope many more people come and see this great tribute to Yoda.

We had amazing time visiting The Yoda Guy Movie Exhibit in Phillipsburg Sint Maarten. We were greeted by Nick Maley himself when we walked in the door. It was an amazing experience get to meet a legend in person. He walked us through his exhibit, then let us explore on our own. He had so many original movie props and artifacts from the original Star Wars movies, along with his other projects he worked on. Nick even took the time to take a few photos with us. I will be visiting again for sure.

A huge amount of info about the making of the Star Wars movies, everything from contract negotiations to script writing, story boards and the development and construction of the characters mask, costumes etc. Nick, the owner/artist was there to explain the areas of the very compact museum which includes a small gallery of memorabilia and original artwork. We did not allow enough time, lots of reading, but enough visual detail to keep non readers interested. Admission March 2024 was $20USD

I didn't have a lot of expectations going into the exhibit, but my husband and I both had an absolute BLAST! Nick was there and he is just the nicest guy and so generous with his time. He explained the exhibit to us and shared a lot of personal stories which I really enjoyed. He's such a talented artist that we bought a painting to take home with us. I also think the proceeds go to his nonprofit to uplift other artists which we loved.

You don't have to love Star Wars to enjoy this exhibit, but it does help. If you like movies in general and have ever thought about the mechanics behind them, you will love this exhibit! :)

So thankful while on the Iconic ICON OF THE SEAS cruise our first stop in St. Maarten it was mentioned this hidden treasure a must see. So glad we had the extra time to stop in. My husband and I had such a memorable experience walking through this museum.
The most random museum to find in a Caribbean capital. The owner, Nick Maley and his wife were there and he signed a book and a piece of his works for my husband and son! Great place to see memorabilia and things from the movies that he has worked on - so inspirational.
There is a substantial collection of history and movie memorabilia in both the shop and museum. As mentioned in other posts the collection covers Nick's varied and illustrious career on Star Wars and beyond including Lifeforce and Krull. This is a must see for everyone young and old!
