History an religion side by side with youth. In this one day tour we will begin by visiting the oldest city in Portugal. Nicknamed the "Rome of Portugal", Braga is a city rich in culture and tradition, where the emblematic squares and churches abound.

We wanted a day trip from Porto and this tour was perfect, a full day but we did visit two amazing places ate lunch in a local restaurant that was constructed over Roman ruins, we did visit two religious sites with amazing views of the valley that protects Braga, we got to try a ride on one of the oldest funiculars in the world and we ended the day at the cradle of Portugal our driver Inês was amazing friendly accommodating full of great stories history and life in Portugal I highly recommend this day tour from Porto

These two cities are amazing. We enjoyed having a private tour with our guide Inês. She was very knowledgeable and patient answering all of our questions. Best private tour guide experience ever!

Carla picked us up from our river cruise ship, and we had a spectacular day in Braga and Guimaraes. She was professional, entertaining, and insightful. She covered the historical, social, political, and cultural aspects of Portugal and the wonderful cities we visited with tactful yet accurate remarks. We had a fantastic day. Brian

Family trip (adults only) I think the best thing out of this place was the Bom Jesus visit. it's an amazing place not only the construction itself but the atmosphere...there is a sense of peace in it. our guide was nice, if you have issues with smokers then this is not your guide, although he didn't smoke in the car or near us, he was constantly missing from taking smoke breaks and the car smelled a bit. our tour was on Christmas day so restaurants pretty much were closed, we had a hard time finding where to eat. Guimaraes isnt all that, after seeing several castles in Sintra, Obidous, and other places then guimaraes can be skip. Braga town is very cute to walk-around.

We had a great day tour to Braga and Guimaraes from Porto. Milena our guide contributed to this wonderful experience. Her enthusiasm, friendly personality, knowledge, and humor are truly exceptional. With her mom (a great driver) they form a great team and they ensured that we had a fun, comfortable, and informative day. They went the extra mile to accommodate the group, they took the initiative to drop a couple at the airport to help them save time. We highly recommend meridian4people but more specifically ask for Milena.

What a glorious tour! We did not anticipate seeing such grandeur. The sights were breathtaking. The guide had sufficient knowledge of all sights. The transportation was clean and comfortable. The only drawback was that there was not a speaker system in the vehicle and people sitting in rows behind the driver/guide could not hear her voice while travelling. Otherwise, this would have been a five-star excursion.
