Fifty Shades of Lemon

We had an amazing day with our driver Stefano. He took us to a Limoncello factory then all along the Amalfi Coast. The highlight of the day was with Fiore and his lemon grove and restaurant. We had the best meal and even made Limoncello. Highly recommend this tour.

We have and will continue recommend Joe Banana to everyone we know. Driver was professional and knowledgeable. We used Joe Banana for transportation in Romo, Positano and Sicily. Ever driver was professional and knowledgeable and very respectful.

Anna was amazing always checking on us to ensure we were happy with our service and drivers. Love this company!!!

Great opportunity to tour the coast, learn about making lemonchello, and enjoying a lovely lunch above the water. Our chef boast was very cordial!

We used JBL on several occasions on our recent Italy trip. Anna - our primary contact was friendly and helpful. She made booking the trips easy and simple. Our primary driver was Guiseppe. He was knowledgeable, friendly, spoke great English and personable. We took 2 tours and also used JBL to get us from Positano to
Sorrento as well as Amalfi to Positano. The vehicles were new and clean and extremely comfortable.

I would not hesitate to recommend JBL to anyone in Italy. They are the best.

This post is way overdue and extremely long but I want to shout from the rooftops about our amazing tours with Joe Banana Limos with our private driver (and self-proclaimed comic)Nicola who literally made our Amalfi coast trip the experience of a lifetime!

We started with a airport pick up from Naples to Positano and opted for two stops along the way. Nicola took us through Naples, his hometown, for a quick tour through the city to the port where we had a quick drink, and had our first taste of Napoli pizza (amazing!) seaside.

We wanted to be in Positano before dark so we opted for a two hour Herculean tour with another fantastic guide named Paulo, who was as adorable as he was engaging. He absolutely loved his job, his enthusiasm was contagious and his knowledge of the history of Vesuvius was immense. We could have spent all day there and am so glad we had a guide otherwise we would have missed so much.

Nicola helped with all our bags giving us lots of great info about where and what to see he was a wealth of info and after listening to what we hoped to see during our stay he said he would make himself available for the next day if we were interested and this is where the tour got AMAZING

Nicola took us out all day…like 10 hours and he personalized the entire trip. We never felt rushed and felt like we were hanging with old friends. He took us to this (beautiful) chef’s AirBnB in the most amazing place where we picked lemons from his lemon trees. We then all drove back to his beautiful restaurant a few minutes away (that was open just for us) where he proceeded to take all the time in the world to teach us how to make limoncello while Nicola acted as our photographer. The chef then cooked us a 5 course meal with the lemons all while drinking lemoncello spritz overlooking the sea….breathtaking.

After the amazing lunch he took us all along the coast stopping in Ravello (a must see) and Amalfi. He made sure we experienced everything we had hoped for including telling us what foods to try in each town and things not to miss. It was an absolutely magical day.

We again requested Nicola for our ride back to the airport at the end of our trip and have even stayed in touch with him since then (he owes me espresso beans 🤣)

A week later we found ourselves in Roma without a driver to our hotel…one text to Nicola and he had a driver picking us up in 10 minutes!! Seriously the best tour company EVER! I wish I could tell you all in more detail about all the ways this company made everything so personal and special for us but this post is long enough.

One warning!!! He will take you to this amazing ceramic shop named Piccadilly where the owners are wonderful and the ceramics are top notch….we may or may not have spent waaaay more money than we planned to and I may or may not have bought a lava stone table and chair set!
Don’t hesitate to use Joe Bananas and for a truly wonderful experience ask for Nicola and tell him Amy and Liz sent you!
