Christ the Redeemer is an art deco statue depicting Jesus Christ, located on the top of Corcovado Hill, 709 meters above sea level, in Tijuca National Park, overlooking most of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In 2007 it was informally elected as one of the seven wonders of the modern world. Located at the top of Morc do Corcovado, in Tijuca National Park, the monument is the best known Brazilian image in the world. Every year, more than 600,000 people are brought to Christ the Redeemer by the centenary Corcovado Railway, the country's oldest sightseeing tour. It all starts with the electric locomotive, centennial and twice environmentally friendly. It does not pollute and crosses the preserved Atlantic forest, belonging to the Tijuca National Park. At the feet of Christ the Redeemer, one of the Seven New Wonders of the Modern World, the most beautiful view of the city, showing from above what Rio de Janeiro has to offer.

One of the most beautiful postcards in Rio de Janeiro offers stunning views of the entire city. From Praia Vermelha, visitors take the first tram leading to the Urca hill, and from there a second cable car takes them to the top of the Sugarloaf hill, which is 396 meters from sea level. Different stories justify the name of this tourist spot; the most popular one says that during the 16th and 18th centuries, at the height of sugarcane production, producers stored sugar blocks in forms for export, and the similarity of the object to the Sugarloaf hill gave rise to the name. . Inaugurated in 1912, the Sugar Loaf Cable Car was the first cable car in Brazil and the third in the world, connecting the Morro da Urca to the Sugar Loaf Hill. New bars and cafeterias provide more comfort for the public, which also has retractable chairs divided by colors and produced with certified materials, such as PET bottles. Divided into five levels and in the north, south, east and west sectors, Maracanã bets on divisions to facilitate access and location of fans. Also on display are the statue of Our Lady of the Rosary, the throne of Peter II and the Golden Rose granted to Princess Isabel by Pope Leo XIII celebrating her signature of the Slavery Abolition Act in Brazil.

The Selarón Staircase is an architectural masterpiece located between the Santa Teresa and Lapa neighborhoods of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, decorated by long-living Chilean artist Jorge Selarón, who declared it a "tribute to the Brazilian people" . The Selarón Staircase fills with color one of the paths between the Lapa and Santa Teresa neighborhoods in Rio de Janeiro. The gigantic mosaic is the work of Chilean plastic artist Jorge Selarón, who began to devote himself to decorating the staircase in the early 1990s. With his continuous work, and his own resources, he left a gift for the city: the 250 steps between Joaquim Silva Street and Santa Teresa Convent became a monument and an icon of Rio. The Selarón Staircase has already traveled the world. It was the scene of clips, advertisements, fashion editorials. The famous Lapa Arches are part of Rio de Janeiro's history, beginning in the colonial period. The old Carioca Aqueduct, known as Arcos da Lapa, is one of the city's postcards, as well as being the most representative symbol of the Old River preserved in the bohemian Lapa region. The structure, in mortar stone, has a Romanesque style, whitewashed, has 42 double arches and glasses on the top. Arcos da Lapa is considered the largest architectural work undertaken in Brazil during the colonial period. Thank you to Eduardo Diogenes (our tour guide), and his driver for calling and waiting for us as we were a little lost since the hotel where we were to meet was being renovated, and the signs were off of the building. We picked up the rest of our group, and we were off on one of the best tours we've been on with Viator.

Rio is beautiful! Eduardo shared several details at every stop, and was able to get us to the top of Sugar Loaf mountain minutes before sun set, the pictures and videos we were able to take are stunning! We loved the tour and Rio, we can't wait to go back!

The mini-van arrived late, but I was prepared to make allowances for traffic. We were promised an English speaking tour, only two Brits out of nineteen - third language was English, we had already passed point of interest before we received description.
A real hurry-up job, rushed from place to place, tour guide streaked off ahead.
Disappointing buffet - big selection of food described only in Portuguese, hard to know what you were eating.

Excellent Tour, Excellent Tour Guide (Serge) covered a lot of ground in the day, lunch was satisfactory,
The tour covered everything it said it would, Serge kept to time and ensured the party kept together in a disciplined manner, {which given how busy it was can not have been easy} it was a full day tour, we got picked up and dropped off at our hotel which was great tour, well worth it !!!
