On December 4, 2023, we made a stopover in Rio de Janeiro, on the Costa Fascinosa from Barcelona. We had bought tickets from Barcelona for the Corcovado train to visit Christ the Redeemer and those for the cable car to go up to Sugar Loaf. We had found it through Tripadvisor and, based on the comments it had, it was recommended.
Rio de Janeiro is a city that deserves to be visited in depth. The result of the visit met expectations and exceeded all expectations. Especially thanks to Gustavo. He was waiting for us punctually when we disembarked, he made the transfers for us and gave us a phone to serve as a router so we could have WhatsApp and let him know when he had to come pick us up after the visits. Gustavo is all kindness, he is economical and speaks Spanish. Made everything work perfectly. It is totally recommended.

I booked a round trip private transfer for my family (4 of us with large luggage) from Rio to Angra. I was impressed by the representative on the phone. He was super helpful. The day our driver showed up, he was punctual and extremely professional. The van was large, clean and comfortable. Our driver stopped half way so we could stretch and get a snack. He handed the keys off to my brother when he locked the vehicle. We arrived at our destination in a very timely manner. This leg of the trip deserves a 5 star rating, and this is what set my expectations. BUT THEN--the return trip happened. We were met by a driver who had a personal vehicle. It was small. We had to stuff our luggage into the trunk, piling it so high it obstructed the view out of the back. We crammed into the car and barely had leg room. We weren't even sure we had the correct driver. It appears as if Viator had sub-contracted this leg of our transfer. It was a bit nerve wracking to say the least. Oh! AND THEN we were pulled over by local police!!! Apparently our driver did not have his proper documents. After about 30 minutes of the police questioning him, we were on our way with no explanation. It would have been helpful if Viator had sent an email explaining what to expect. It felt unsafe to say the least. There was a complete void of communication for this leg of the trip. If you plan to use this company; I recommend you ask thorough questions up front.
