We saw that Etna Way is highly rated on Google and this really caught our attention.
Initially we were a little afraid (there are many stories of scams in the Cecília region) but as we made contact with Etna Way we realized that this tourism agency in Taormina is serious and committed to its customers.
We chose to do the tour: Etna + wine tasting + full lunch. Spectacular choice. Sensational!!!
It was very easy to make the negotiations (for security reasons, they only work with credit cards). The people we spoke to were very punctual with the scheduled times and activities.
They appointed Gian Paulo as guide. A super cool, intelligent guy with a much improved knowledge of the geology of volcanoes and the history of Sicily.
This guy really enjoys what he does and was fantastic in explaining the craters, caves and soils resulting from the spillage of volcanic larvae.
Gian Paolo's excellent explanations even helped to understand the similarities and differences between Etna and Vesuvius (we did Vesuvius and Pompeii after Sicily).
In the second stage of the tour, the winery tour was equally fantastic, something like an aperitif for the final sensations - tasting of 4 wines from volcanic soils and a great Italian-style lunch. Lunch of the gods at the foot of Etna.
We eat and drink the best and the best. The quantity and quality of the meals served are surreal.
At the end, we return safely to the hotel where Gian Paolo left us, as agreed.
Fantastic and unforgettable day. We highly recommend Etna Way.

Very nice private hike with Silvia, a great guide who gave us a lot of explanations both about volcanoes and botany. Headlamp departure at 3 a.m. with a breathtaking sunrise, a magnificent panorama of Etna and a running descent! Silvia is very kind and speaks French very well. Beautiful family hike that will remain in our memories for a long time. Thank you very much for his kindness.

A great guided hiking tour with many different volcanism highlights: craters, lava lakes, lava channels, rifts or lava tunnels. Very good explanations, friendly guide, mini group (4). After a somewhat bumpy start (waiting time until the 4x4 arrived) everything went well, walking distance about 8km, a few meters uphill

Very enjoyable moderate trek, led by Christian who is extremely knowledgeable about the volcanic history and botany of the area. Trek lasts about 6 hours has a few steep sections, but the pace is moderate. Wonderful views of Etna and as far as Calabrian. The walking poles provided are very useful.

Yesterday we booked the family day tour to Etna with a visit to a lava cave, a hike along the 7 craters, a tasting of regional products, lunch in a restaurant in the national park and a visit to the Alcantara Gorge. We were picked up directly at the hotel by our guides Christian and Sebastiano and received a very friendly and kind welcome from both of them. There were only 4 of us in the jeep and they told us all about the details of the Etna region. We had a lot of fun with each other all day, our guides were always considerate and helpful and always concerned about our safety. It was a great trip that we will always remember fondly and fondly thanks to Christian and Sebi. Many thanks to both of them! We can also recommend the trip to families without hesitation. If you are not good on your feet or get out of breath quickly, you would be well advised to pay the €8 for the elevator in/out of the Alcantara Gorge. Shoes suitable for water increase the fun factor in the stream bed. If you like, you can also pack your bathing suit, but the water is quite cold. Personally, I found the stones too prickly, otherwise I would have liked to wade further along the stream, but unfortunately I didn't have the right shoes and my feet were sensitive. Others had fun barefoot, too.

Great tour and super tour guide. Saw a lot and learned even more about volcanology, botany, myths and the country and its people.
We were prepared for a more strenuous tour, but it wasn't that strenuous but still great.
Please note: The tour doesn't go to the summit as we originally thought. Still a very nice tour! Full 5 points deserved!!!
