Good tour. On our day the water had perfect visibility. The reef was nice but not spectacular. It was worth the money. 10 minute ride to cruise port. Cost was $8 single or $4 per person

Cesar and his captain were both amazing!!! Very easy to get to Dr dive by taxi and we were given clear instructions on how to snorkel for our first time. It was a private boat for just me and my friend! The water was absolutely beautiful and we felt safe the entire time. Cesar even took a great video of the coral reef and us snorkeling. We saw TONS of fish, a ray, sand dollar, and a living conch!!! Could not recommend this enough and tip well, the service was amazing!!!

Alberto and the team at Doctor Dive were great. It was a very windy day, and they communicated early that we might not have a perfect experience and gave us every opportunity to cancel but also said they were more than willing to take us out, especially as we were only there for the day as it was a port call on a cruise. In the end, they moved our time a bit and took us out, and we had a great experience. The shop has a very chill local dive shop vibe, and all the staff are great. We will visit them again for sure!

Great family snorkel. Staff showed how to put snorkel, fins, and vests on. Many people it was their first time. Staff were very helpful pointing out fish, coral. Good value for $$.

It was an amazing experience, really felt like swimming with the fishes. We saw a sea turtle and loads of other cool things. It was surprisingly a really smooth operation with no faffing about, 1 hour is a good amount of time in the wate. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

We had a great experience snorkeling. Everyone was friendly and our tour guides, Cesar and Amber, were very aware and helpful for new swimmers. Amber did a great job pointing out cool stuff along the reef. We saw a lot of fish, a ray, a lobster, and a large variety of corals. They let us borrow wetsuits for free as well.
The taxi ride from the port was quick and simple, as well as the taxi ride back. Each way was $4 per person.
One downfall was we had to wait nearly 30 minutes for some other people coming, but it was nice for Doctor Dive to wait for them.

The best Snorkel trip I have ever experienced. I was a bit hesitant due to the reviews I read but this was the best decision I made for this snorkeling experience. I booked for a Snorkel Tour and received a great experience of Snorkeling! A wonderful tour guide. Very patience with us as I am not the strongest or fastest swimmer. He allowed time for pictures, stopped to point out different fish that could be missed if you didn't look closely. It was only my Husband and I on the tour. Great customer service and communication before my trip. Directions getting to the shop were straight forward just ensure to walk to the back where the shop is located once there. The cab to get back to the ship were right outside on the corner by the hotel.
*Please note the time booked is the local time of the tour. I didn't do my HW on that part, so I was an hour early. My lesson learned but better to be early then late.

It is important to note that two of us had a great dive experience but two of us had a very poor snorkeling experience. This shop seems to focus on divers and not on snorkelers. It is also possible that weather conditions influenced the ability to snorkel further out in the ocean. But we felt it important to communicate what happened so other snorkelers can be aware before booking.
On exiting the cruise terminal (which is a maze) my wife and son were made to wait on the taxi van until it was full, and that added to the time to get to the excursion.
Once at Doctor Dive, they were again made to wait for a lengthy period of time for other snorkelers. When the boat was finally loaded it took them to an area just off the beach which was no more than 5-6 feet deep. The guide insisted everyone wear life jackets, even for experienced swimmers. The vests were old and looked dirty. And anyone who took the vest off was told to put it on or return to the boat. The snorkelers were led in a group around the area and were not allowed to explore on their own unlike other snorkeling tours we have been on. The vests also prevented free diving . They felt they were bunched too closely together and people were bumping into each other. The snorkelers were in the water for one snorkel location and then they were returned to the dive shop. There was only a pitcher of water provided back at the shop.
Having experienced the diving, we would recommend this shop for divers but would have to withhold recommending it for snorkeling given this experience for the rest of our family.
