My friends and I recently went on a birding trip with Bogota Birding. The entire experience was fantastic! Camilo, our guide, was super friendly and knowledgeable, and he did so many little things to make our trip special. We saw all of the target species that we wanted to see and then some! The travel was safe, the food was delicious, all of the places we stopped were unique and interesting. I can't recommend Bogota Birding (and our guide, Camilo) enough!

We just returned from a truly fantastic birding experience with Bogota Birding. We went out for 3 days with Cristian Mur and 1 day with Miguel Angel. Mario from Explore and Travel was our driver all 4 days. Our guides were terrific, knowledgeable, and experienced birders and biologists who were able to give us a great deal of information on not just the birds, but the habitats and geography of the area. Cristian was also a history buff and knowledgable about the culture of the indigenous people who lived on the lands we visited as well. Because we went out 4 days, we were able to visit La Florida wetland, Laguna Tabacal, Jardin encantado, Guasca, Guauabetal- Monterrendondo, and the hummingbird house in La Calera as well as Chicaque. We saw over 150 species of birds during that time. We also got to know our guides and driver really well, and honestly on the last evening, it was difficult to say good bye as they had become like family. We very much look forward to visiting Colombia again and will definitely look to work with Bogota Birding. Out of 5 stars, I would rate these folks 10 stars!

We had a great trip with Oswaldo. He is energetic and enthusiastic and just a terrific person out in the field. He was very careful to make sure we saw all the birds. He had a lot of contacts so we were able to see a great deal.

Oswaldo Cortes picked me up at my airport hotel at 5:00am for a great day of birding at Chicaque Park. Oswaldo is a very good birder -- very knowledgeable about the birds and where to find them. We covered a lot of ground and saw some very elusive birds. The day unfortunately proved to be cloudy on the west side of the park, but Oswaldo had a Plan B and we ended up birding a great wetland closer to the city. Oswaldo's resourceful, his English is great, and we had a super day. Highly recommended.
