In the morning pick up from your hotel in Cairo and visit the Monastery of Saint Simon, also known as the Cave Church of Zabbaleen. It is located in the Mokattam Mountain, a short drive through the so called “Garbage City’ – a large population of garbage collectors or Zabbaleen that live there. First we visit Saint Simon the Tanner Hall and St. Mark’s Church.
This huge cave was discovered in the year 1974. The upper story is the St. Simon the Tanner Hall with seating capacity of 2000 people for spiritual meetings, The walls are decorated with many wonderful pictures engraved on the rocks representing scenarios from the Bible.
Then we continue and visit the Cathedral of Virgin Mary and St. Simon the Tanner, then you will visit Old Coptic Cairo to explore the old Coptic Churches and the oldest synagogue of Ben Ezra and the place where Moses the prophet lived in it for a while, After the tour transfer back to your hotel.

Mohammed, our guide was fantastic on time and gave a lovely tour.
The cave church was amazing, and the oldest surviving guide was brought in my Mohammed to give this a 5 star rating. Good, safe, excellent driver, too.

Extremely overpriced for the content. It's just a few churches and a cheap lunch. Keep shopping for a better deal. The guide was fine but his heart wasn't in this. I was very disappointed.

I had booked this tour to ease in to our first day in Cairo and it was amazing! Our tour guide, Mo, and driver, were truly amazing. They did what they could to show us all of the highlights of Coptic Cairo during our time with them. The three of us are not religious, but would have missed out if we did not see the beauty each stop had to offer. I highly recommend Mo and his team!

Mo was very knowledgeable and his English is very good. We felt never rushed looking at the sights or when we had lunch. He was also very helpful at the market and showed us where to go. He created a very good experience..
Definitely would recommend Mo!

Our tour guide was Amira. She was wonderful. We booked a food tour but found we had extra time. The tour company accommodated our last minute request to add on Coptic Church tour.
All the food we tasted was amazing. Amira was friendly and knowledgeable. Very laid back, fun day in Cairo. Would recommend after you’ve already seen bigger tourist sites like Giza and museum.

The tour was amazing .Mo was a wonderful tour guide and the driver made us feel so safe. We went to Coptic Cairo with lunch by the pyramids .we didn’t know that and we got a few nice picture . It was a great surprise.
Recommend his tour and guide highly.

Mo and Haithiam were very prompt efficient and handled us like VIPs!! We love the private tours, only 2 not 40, so you see what you would like, as long as you like, without the crowds. Nice MG luxury vehicle, professional driver. Mo has a Masters in Egyptian antiquities and is a wealth of knowledge. Don't forget to add the Alabaster Church (Mohammed Ali), the Cave Church and Old Coptic Cairo are great!!
