Day 1. HCMC - My Tho - Ben Tre - Can Tho (stay at 3-star hotel) - Around 7:45am. Get picked up at your centrally located hotels in Ho Chi Minh City and head to the Mekong Delta by bus. Your onboard tour guide will tell you everything about the culture of the locals while you can sit back, relax and enjoy the landscapes and scenery of green rice fields. Stop at the Vinh Trang pagoda on the way. Continue to My Tho and take a boat trip along the Mekong River where you can escape the busy town. Enjoy a sampan ride through the coconut trees-lined canals. Disembark and explore the village on foot. Visit local families where you can enjoy fruits, honey tea and wine while listening to traditional music performed by the villagers. Enjoy a traditional lunch. In the afternoon, travel to Can Tho, the heart of the Mekong Delta. Stay overnight in the hotel. Free time to explore the city at night. (3-star Van Phat Riverside Hotel or Senior Hotel Can Tho)

Day 2: CAI RANG FLOATING MARKET - HO CHI MINH CITY The next day, start early at around 6:00AM to visit the famous Cai Rang Floating Market. The market is most vibrant in the early hours of the morning. Witness the hustle and bustle of boats selling fruits, vegetables, and various local products. During your boat tour, make a pit stop at one of the boats selling vermicelli and coffee. You can choose to buy and enjoy these local delicacies while soaking in the unique atmosphere of the market. Continue your boat tour to visit a Rice Noodle Factory. Here, you can witness the traditional process of making rice noodles. We'll also take some time to explore a bustling local market, where colorful stalls are brimming with fresh produce, spices, and vegetables. Around 9:00AM to 9:30AM: Return to your hotel for check-out, enjoy breakfast and freshening up after the morning's activities.

After that, begin your journey back to Ho Chi Minh City. En route, make a stop at the 10 Vo ancient house. Explore this historic Vietnamese house, learn about its architectural details, and gain insights into local traditions and customs. Try your hand at making traditional Vietnamese pancakes, known as "bánh xèo." This hands-on experience will give you a taste of the local culture. Enjoy a delicious local lunch. If you have the energy, take a leisurely bike ride around the area, exploring the picturesque surroundings and interacting with the local community. After that, make your way back to Ho Chi Minh City. Arrive approximately at 4:00pm.

We had Alex as our guide. He’s fantastic. I would highly recommend requesting him if you can. The hotel was great. Also, try to make your way to the city center during the night for food and drink. Even with the early morning wake up, totally worth it.

This tour should be recommended if you want to understand Vietnam and people living here better. It is not only about the Mekong delta boat trip. It is about the life of people here. Coconut processing, rice noodle production and even bee keeping. Everything helps to immerse in the Vietnamese culture. The inclusion of a short countryside bicycle trip helped to see regular people's homes. The guidance of Justin was very professional with strategically timed remainders. Great job!

This Mekong Delta Tour was good. Our guide was Phu. He was knowledgeable. There were alot of interesting experiences crammed into a short two days. The hotel accommodations were at Senior Hotel and they were good as well. The only part of the tour that was terrible was the bicycle ride on the island we visited. The bikes were very old, rusted and a few were not fit to ride. I ended up with the last bike. The pedals were bent and unsafe. As a result, I did not join the ride. It was just as well as others told me it was terrible hot and Phu pushed them to hurry through the ride.
As a whole I would recommend this tour.

Enjoyed all the experiences on this tour. Island hopping on the Mekong provided relief from the heat. Loved the sweets from the candy factory and making crispy pancakes for our lunch, drip coffee topped it off. Justin was informative spoke English very well
