On the advice of very well-traveled friend I booked with Luca for a private family tour of Pompeii. He was amazing- picked us up at the hotel in a nice Mercedes van with a lovely driver. When we got to Pompeii we were dropped off right at the entrance and it seemed Luca knew everyone (and everyone loved him) - we skipped all the lines and walked right in. Pompeii itself was so much bigger and more impressive than I was expecting. So many completely preserved mosaics, murals, entire bathhouses…there is a section where you can walk on catwalks over entire city blocks of buildings still being excavated. That was the coolest part. Luca had so much knowledge and access to all of the parts of Pompeii. He is also excellent with kids as a father of 3 himself. This tour was truly a top life experience - if you can book Luca, do it!

Luca leads a team of archaeologists that provided excellent tours of Pompeii & Herculaneum. Our guide, Valeria, was outstanding. She made the tour fun, informative and entertaining. We had a great time learning about both ancient cities and highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting these sites.

Phenomenal experience! He is incredibly knowledgeable regarding Pompeii. As a younger couple he was able to give us fast paced inclusive tour to fit in as much as possible within two hours. We felt like we were able to see all of the major sites and really enjoyed his company and expertise. He went above and beyond the other tour guides to make sure we got great views and pictures.

Luca is an excellent guide, thanks to him we avoided the crowds and were able to see places where no one goes. His knowledge of Pompeii and Herculaneum made the visit very interesting. I recommend 1000%

Luca was an absolutely fantastic tour guide. We were a group with ages 9-81 years old. Luca was exceptionally knowledgeable and knew just what to focus on during our tours of Pompeii and Herculaneum. Luca kept our children engaged and kept all the adults in our party engaged as well. I couldn’t recommend him more highly. Luca is one of a kind and our family is still talking about our day!

Our day with Luca was without a doubt the highlight of our stay in Naples. Luca picked up our family from our apartment bright and early and took us on a private tour of Herculaneum, Vesuvius then Pompeii. It was a day we will never forget. Luca has a great knowledge, genuine enthusiasm and passion for history and Naples and he really brought the history of this unique place to life for us.
We knew we were in safe hands, he took care of all of the logistics and was flexible to our needs so we could just enjoy the day. He arranged it so we could pack everything in including a lovely restaurant for lunch.
His communion leading up to the day was brilliant and we were instantly at ease with him.
He was fantastic with our 12 year old son, always engaging him and tailoring parts of the tour to his interests as well as happy to answer any questions.
Luca is definitely one of life’s positive people, fun to be around and a wonderful guide. If you are lucky enough to have an opportunity to go on a tour with Luca, take it. You will be glad you did. We felt extremely lucky to have found him.

We had a great time at Pompei and Herculaneum with Luca! We went in February and the weather was nice and the views were amazing. Definitely get a private tour with Luca to fully experience these amazing sites!

Luca was an amazing guide for our family in Pompei. Kind, caring, and so understanding of the needs of kids and adults in the group.
Completely age-appropriate content for the kids around the brothel district.
Clear and concise information about the whole site and specific houses within the grounds.

Luca was our tour guide in June 2023. A few people in a Facebook group recommended Luca, so we decided to hire him as our tour guide. This was a great decision on our part. We began our tour at Mt Vesuvius. Luca and his driver were able to take us right up to the entrance of Mt Vesuvius. He was able to communicate with the entrance workers when they were not letting anyone through due to thunder. He was also able to get us to the front of the line (by talking with the workers) for when they began to let people through. After Vesuvius, we went to Pompeii. Luca was amazing taking us through the ruins. We received so much more information about the ruins than we would have with a cruise tour.
