Very good experience and well run adventure. It was really cool being under the water and as close to scuba diving. They took pictures as well and can get them for a fee. Well worth it and would recommend.

The guides were excellent, humorous and safety conscious. Being under the water with all the fish with no experience needed was the best part. Felt like I was walking on the bottom of my aquarium. Definitely recommended,

This was my wife and I’s first excursion in Bora Bora and it was great experience. We were picked up at our hotel by bought and brought to the helmet dive boat on the west side of the island. Our guides RV and JB did a great job explaining the process to us (in English and in French) and we had a great experience with them.

The sea life was amazing, especially the beautiful stingray that swam by us during the dive. RV also took some great pictures that we decided to purchase after the dive, but the guides did not pressure us at all the purchase them. It was a great way to kick the gf out bora bora vacation!

Had the most wonderful time. It was an experience not to be missed. Loved being under the water with all the colourful fish and Coco Chanel (the stingray). Our underwater camera broke but the guide took lots of pictures under the water which you can purchase for $90. Just waiting for them to be emailed across. Thanks again both, memories we will cherish forever

This excursion was fantastic. Amazing experience with an excellent team from start to finish.

Lisa picked us up from our hotel lobby (IC Le Moana). We picked up one other group of two and then headed to the ferry port where the boat was waiting to take us out to the dive spot. The total number of people on the excursion was 8. From our hotel out to the dive boat was around 30 minutes.

After a short ride we met up with the dive boat and switched over to get ready for our dive. Our two certified instructors gave us very detailed instructions (in both French and English) on what to do - how to descend (about 13 feet down a static ladder off the back of the boat) and a description of basic hand signs on how to communicate once underwater. They are very committed to your safety and comfort. They explain what it will feel like as you descend - kind of like when you land in an airplane but on a smaller scale.

As you stand at the top of the ladder, the team place the helmet on you. You can wear glasses on this dive. No water comes in the helmet at all. Your helmet is attached via a long tube to air tanks that remain on the boat. As you breathe in the helmet sort of bears down a little but it is not uncomfortable at all.

The area to walk around on the ocean floor is roped off so you cannot wander further than your air tube will allow. There is a sign detailing all the kinds of sea life you may see. The area has large coral formations around the edge.

You will have a chunk of bread in a netted bag attached to the front of you. The fish will come to you and eat the bread.

The amount and variety of fish is amazing. Beautiful groups of different fish will surround you (if you squeeze the bag so that bits of bread float off, even more will come!). Stingrays came on our dive too. The two divers come down with you and show you anemones and coral. They will take many pictures of you that are available to purchase via a download link for around $90. We had almost 50 pictures, so well worth it. They will show you the pictures so you can decide whether you want them or not.

You’re under the water for about 30 mins. You can go up sooner than that if you want to. When it’s time to go back up the divers will help you so you don’t go too fast. Getting back on the boat is easy - we are 56 and 59 … you can do this!

Don’t miss this wonderful experience with caring and professional people who are a big part of an amazing and breathtaking excursion. Highly recommend!!

Great experience! We recommend 100%.
Slight apprehension for my husband at first but once in the water, he loved it.
As the guides say, you have to know how to walk and breathe.
Go pro is allowed. The guides take photos which are offered to us at the end of the experience but there is no pressure to purchase.
We walk in a place limited by ropes. A small piece of bread attached to the diving suit and all the fish come to you. A ray that has its habits there even comes to swim next to you. That's great.

My wife and I are not scuba divers so this was an amazing option. The guides were excellent and tried to ensure that we had interactive time with under water residents that came to visit. I would definitely recommend this experience

This was an amazing experience for us, especially for my mom. Maneau (maybe misspell his name) but he was very patient and took the time to explain the safety procedures and was just an amazing time!

Aqua Safari’s helmet dive was a great way to spend our first excursion on Bora Bora. I was apprehensive about being in the water, and the guides made me feel so comfortable. Arii, Maru and Herve were FANTASTIC! They are professional and experienced. We got to see tons of fish close up even though neither of us know how to scuba dive. Definitely recommend this tour!!
