In early A.D, Evangelist St. John lived in the Ephesus in order to spread Christianity and collect more followers to the way of Jesus. And, according to many sources, he died around Ephesus after he returned from exile in Patmos. And, buried on the southern slope of Ayosolug Hill by his students. Roman Emperor Justinian constructed one of the biggest Basilicas of Christianity in the 4th Century A.D over the burial of St. Jean the Evangelist!

Artemis was the Greek goddess, the virginal huntress and twin of Apollo, who replaced the Titan Selene as Goddess of the Moon. The ancient temple was built around 650 BC to the cult of Artemis, was constructed on a site already sacred to the Anatolian Mother Goddess, Cybele. The temple was financed by the wealthy king of Lydia and the marshy ground was selected for the building site as a precaution against future earthquakes. During the time, it has been destroyed and collapsed many times due to the natural disasters.

Gül led us on a fantastic tour with her extensive history knowledge of the ancient sites around Ephesus. She also showed us around some local Turkish places! We saw so much in a short time, but didn't feel rushed at all. Would definitely take a tour with her again!

Excellent service. Erkan, our guide and his driver were already at the port when we disembarked the ship.
The vehicle was air conditioned and very comfortable with chilled water on offer.
Erkan discussed what our interests were and put together an itinerary that would suit us.
Erkan was very knowledgeable and also had very good English.
It was a relaxed day, as the pace was according to us and not a huge tour group. We accomplished everything we set out to do which was very rewarding and satisfying.
Erkan and our driver also got us back to the ship with plenty of time to spare, so there was no stress at all.
So Erkan literally delivers on the promise in the advert.
