Rômulo was a great informant! The pride he has for Río is unmatched and it showed during his presentation. Rômulo needs to be the highest paid tour guide the company has!

The experience was life changing!!!

I did a tour in English with Amanda.

I got a lot of information, Amanda was full of knowledge and showed great enthusiasm to share as much information as possible. This specific tour didn’t involve a lot of walking. Very glad I did it as I learnt a lot and understood the area much more.
Thanks Amanda, oh and yes, very strange that you pay what you want.

I just did the African Heritage Tour on Saturday 3/16/19 in English. There were just two of us. Our tour guide was Amanda. While Amanda was very informative for the tour, there are several big concerns I have about the way in which she conducted it.
Tour guides should never state their opinion on controversial topics, especially when political in nature. Not only did Amanda do this, but she did so at the detriment of my own religion, people who live in Favelas, black & brown people who use the quota system for college admittance, and trans gender people.

As a Spanish teacher myself, I would lose my job if I were to tell one of my students what is wrong with his or her religion publicly. I also would never take aim at a political ideology publicly as I know I could offend them.

Amanda did all of this and I felt very uncomfortable throughout the tour. This would be a great tour if the sarcasm and personal opinion pieces were taken out.

The tour is really nice and you get to learn a lot about history and culture in Rio. It's definitely worth doing if you can spare a could of hours in an evening
