We will also have a stop at the Rom factory, cigar factory, Sombrella Street, Rosada Street or Paseo de Doña Blanca, Chichigua Street, Shopping, Surbenir, Historic Center, San Felipe Fortress, Panoramic View, Cathedral, Restaurant and Beach, We will also show you the residential areas of beautiful house with panoramic view and the beach and if you want to go to a restaurant to eat automatic Dominican or foreign food we will also take it

We chose this tour after reading good reviews, unfortunately our experience was anything but good. Our driver seemed to have little interest in showing us around, tour was estimated at 4 hours, ours lasted around 2.5 hours, thankfully.
We visited a rum factory which our driver said was not the best rum, a cigar factory that was actually a small shop in town, a chocolate and coffee factory again a small shop where they tried to get you to buy small bars of chocolate for 20$ probably 2$ Back in USA. We were rushed through pink street and umbrella street, we had to ask to go to the fortress as the driver did not offer to take us and when we got there did not seem happy that we wanted to get out.

We had the greatest time ever in Puerto Planta and it was because of Rigo Taxi and our driver, Jose! Our family did not want to book a tour through the cruise line, so we contacted this company and we were not disappointed. Our private van was clean, comfortable and we had access to Wi-Fi and water. Our driver was waiting for us right outside where the ship was docked and immediately we knew we were in good hands! From the beginning at the rum, to shopping, to cigar factory, to the colorful streets, to lunch, and ending with horseback riding along the beach… we never had a worry. I didn’t think we could do everything and get back to the ship on time, but our driver got us back with more than enough time to spare.
Everything was handled professionally and communication was excellent. You would think a private tour like this would be quite expensive, but we found it very affordable and would gladly do it again. I highly give Rigo my recommendation. It’s the best!

Rigo was an amazing tour guide! The tour was informative and fun! We got to see and do everything we wanted to, we even stopped to have lunch. We felt safe, and the van was extremely clean and had great A/C. When we come back to DR again in the future, we will def schedule another tour with Rigo!

Our driver Augustine was prompt, professional, and knowledgeable. We even ended up booking for airport transportation on our departure. Rigo was available for any questions. Many stops on this tour. Highly recommended.

I researched services and tours before we landed on our Carnival cruise in Amber Cove Puerto Plata DR. I came across Rigo on a Carnival Facebook page. He did not disappoint. We got iff the boat on a rainy morning. Made our way to the taxi area where Rigo met us. Off we went. He is super knowledgeable about his city and country. Super friendly and knew how to take pictures on my phone 100% better than me. Pink street. Umbrella street rum and chocolate factory. Shopping. We were tuckered out but his enthusiasm and energy continued. We will for sure look him up if we are that way again. I had mentioned in my email that my very first vacation was Puerta Plata. He remembered that. It was a great tour and he made you feel like family! .
