We absolutely loved this experience. We were originally scheduled to go to Rainbow Mountain but I was unable to due to altitude sickness. I did not want the day to go to waste so we opted to do this experience. We had a private taxi to the wildlife sanctuary where we had a personal guided tour throughout the enclosures. There was a lot more animals than I was expecting and seeing the sanctuary’s rehabilitative efforts in person was quite inspiring and felt really good. We got to interact with multiple animals and at the end walked through their gift shop. It was much less expensive than anywhere in the city and part of the proceeds go to the conservation efforts. We then were given a private taxi ride back to our accommodation. 10/10 would absolutely recommend this experience.

We did the tour with the guide Jhonncito and it was amazing!
He explained about all the different animals and let us feed and pet them.
It's a shelter for Peruvian animals so the money goes for helping them and releasing them to the wild.
Highly recommend!!

I really enjoyed this experience and learning about the animals and what the sanctuary is doing to rehabilitate them in attempts to release them back into the wild. It was fun and informative and you get to see the animals very close!

A tour that lasts two and a half hours, just 20 minutes from the city of Cusco in this rescue center you can see wild animals typical of the Andes which have been rescued, the animals are well, the people who take care of them are dedicated with love, you can take advantage of getting used to the height of the Andes

I enjoyed an hour private tour by a well informed staff member who clearly had a repore with the resident animals. He explained that most of anilmals came to the facillity as a result of the illegal wildlife trade. He also shared the organization's goals for breeding selected species.

This was an amazing experience. Our guide John was so knowledgeable and the compassion and care they have for the animals is touching. I enjoyed my tour, learned so much, and have the best wildlife pictures. Support their gift shop because they are supporting the animals!

Wow!! This was SUCH an amazing experience! It was truly beautiful from start to finish to see the amazing care of these animals and learn about their history and their rescue stories with Albert. He cares deeply about all of the animals and the experience was so amazing and immersive. We cannot recommend this enough to anyone visiting Cusco! Our personal favorite part was the spectaculars bears and feeding the monkeys but really every second was perfect.

Very impressive animal sanctuary with more animals than we thought! Our guide was very knowledgeable and informative. A bargain at the current price and for anyone wanting to see both endangered and rare animals, this is the experience.

If you’re in Cusco you must visit this beautiful Sanctuary. You not only get to interact with the animals you get to hear their stories. They have all sorts of animals. It’s such a humbling experience. Not to mention the drive up to the sanctuary is absolutely a sight to see. Oh and they have the cutest cafe. I bought some coffee beans to take back with me. Delish!!
