My wife was keen to do this as I had mentioned I tried one 25 years ago (on Orchard Road) when I was last in Singapore.
Unfortunately there is probably only this one company left running and is now based near the Bugis MRT. Apparently according to my concierge it has since fallen out of favor due to overcharging tourists. Hence its decline.
However, is was nice to do together and although our guide spoke no English is was enjoyable.
Unfortunately it is still overpriced !!!

The concierge at the Sands mentioned Trishaw Uncle as we were visiting the Long Bar, so it was a convenient walk. We did the Lion City Bike tour so we had prior understanding of what we could see at pedal speed. This trishaw consisted of a quick ride through city streets with a pre-recorded narration. The tour guide did very little guidance and did not speak english well. Compared to other tours this Trishaw was a waste of money and time. The tour was advertised at 30 minutes but lasted about 23 minutes. In trying to stay with the recorded narration we passed a row of cars, and a very rude automobile driver hit our trishaw. There was no damage, but it was scary to be run into by a motor vehicle in a crowded intersection. I recommend you pick other much more enjoyable ways to explore Singapore.

My wife and I were looking for a couples activity while we were in Singapore and this was a great experience. First it is a fun way to see the city and your travelling at the right pace, fast enough to see a lot of things but slow enough you don't miss things. Next, the drivers are excellent. They do all the work and they have fun with you while they do it. Finally it is a great way to spend time together on vacation. It highly recommend taking a ride, especially at night.
