Sunrise Hike with Private Guide to Aruba's Natural Pool (Conchi)

This is a 5 star excursion. Yes it is an early wake up call but 100% totally worth it. Our tour guide Rob met us at the meet up location and we followed him to the private location. It’s a hike so expect up hill and down hill - a true quad workout while taking in all of the nature and sunrise. We were the only ones in the natural pool. This was a bonus. Rob packed us little back packs with towel, scuba mask, water and a granola bar. The fish are beautiful in the natural pool. Let me end by saying we did 3 different excursions and this private sunrise tour for our family of 6 was the best one of all.

I traveled with my twin sister and spirited 12-year-old niece to Aruba (our first time!) for a much-needed girl’s trip in mid-June. Laying on a man-made beach with a margarita was not on the agenda – adventure WAS!
We booked the Sunrise Hike on our last full day in Aruba.
Rob was the ideal person to guide our group’s discovery of and wonder at the “real” Aruba! We met Rob in front of our hotel at 5:30 AM! He was extremely personable and immediately set us at ease as we made our way to the parking spot. He answered all our questions about the beautiful island's history, food, and culture. It is apparent that he is passionate about what he does and committed to preserving the natural beauty of the island. Rob brought everything we needed in cute backpacks – plenty of drinking water, granola bars, and fresh fruit to end our hike! Even snorkels and towels for our swim in Conchi Natural Pool at Arikok National Park.
Did I mention I am not athletic or a morning person? I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Along the way, Rob took the time to capture candid moments, graciously offering to take our phone to snap pictures of us against the breathtaking backdrop of the rising sun.

The snorkeling experience in the natural pool was absolutely breathtaking as well. We got to see loads of fish and marine life thanks to Rob’s guidance and gear.

Beyond the adventure itself, Rob's hospitality extended to much more than that - sharing snippets of local culture, including introducing us to some traditional Aruban music. His recommendations for places to visit and restaurants to try on our trip were key.

I cannot recommend this sunrise hike and snorkeling tour enough. Whether you're a nature enthusiast or simply looking to explore the beauty of Aruba, Rob's expertise and passion guarantee an unforgettable experience. Thanks Rob! It was truly a morning filled with adventure, learning, and breathtaking views. We can't wait to join you again on our next visit to Aruba!

This experience was the highlight of our trip and top 3 excursions EVER (we travel the Caribbean once a year and have been to many islands). Rob picked us up right on time and was so personable and knowledgeable about all things Aruba. It was such a cool experience because we had the entire park to ourselves and the sunrise was absolutely gorgeous! We were lucky enough to be able to snorkel in the natural pool because it wasn’t too rough and we saw so many amazing fish! Rob also took my phone so he could take the most incredible pictures and a very awesome time lapse video. The hike back was so gorgeous. The only people we saw during our experience were two surfers. I would HIGHLY recommend this experience - again, Rob was awesome and we enjoyed spending time with him.

A couple of tips for people:
- you NEED sneakers and water shoes for this hike
- Do NOT do this if you are out of shape or have any type of physical issues
- Bring a backpack - makes life easier!

I booked this hike for myself, my daughter 19 and my son 17. Rob was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Within a few minutes of him picking us up from our hotel we were on a first name basis. He answered all of our questions about the trip and about Aruba in general. He gave us dining tips and insight that only a local could give.
The hike was absolutely amazing and the views were breathtaking. We were able to snorkel in the natural pool without any other people there. We would 100 percent recommend this as it was definitely a highlight of our trip.

This experience was amazing for myself and for my teenage son and daughter!!! Rob was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional .
Being a native of Aruba, he gave us a different perspective than your average tour. This felt like a hike with a friend.
It is a mile and a half hike each way but well worth the trek. Perfect time of day when the sun isn’t too hot, and there are no crowds of people. I would 100 percent recommend! It was definitely a highlight of our trip!!!

My husband and I did the sunrise hike to the natural pool with Rob. We can’t say enough positive things about our trip. Rob was so personable and professional. We felt completely safe and were able to just relax and enjoy our beautiful hike. We had the natural pool to ourselves, which made waking up early well worth it. We were disappointed to see that previous visitors had left some trash at the natural pool. Please be sure to pack out all of your trash if you visit this beautiful place. We would absolutely book another trip with Fins & Feet Nature Tours!

My husband and I did this hike 3 years ago with Rob and when we came back to Aruba last week with our friends this hike was at the top of our list! People will think you are crazy for booking a tour with a 5:30 AM pick up on your vacation but I'm telling you after doing this tour twice it is still amazing and worth the alarm call wake up! Rob picks you up at your hotel and it's dark out! There's about a 30 minute drive to Arikok National Park. We brought waters and snorkeling gear but he has it if you don't. He gives you a flashlight and you start walking in the dark! It's not "treacherous" but you must have closed toe sneakers. As you reach the natural pool, it gets lighter out, and Rob times the hike perfectly so you arrive at sunrise. He is a trained scuba diver and knows the water so unfortunately we couldn't snorkel this time because the water was too rough, but it was still worth the approximate 3 mile hike (there and back). The views are breathtaking! AND since it's so early no one else is there!! Rob is extremely knowledgeable about the plants and animals on the island and is happy to answer any questions! When you get back to the car, he has fresh fruit waiting for you and you will be back at your hotel by 8:30/9:00. This is a really cool adventure for those that like private tours and like to experience nature in a different way!

This trip is a must do. Rob the owner and an Aruban, though young, this is his home and his knowledge of the terrain is very good plus he has a lot of history and is a great tour guide. You start in the dark with a flashlight and you hike to a very nice area with a natural pool. I'm being honest this is a great hike if you have the energy to walk a few miles on rough, but not that rough terrain. I am 64 and I made it easily. It's the experience that you will cherish. Sunrises are so beautiful ... the beginning of the day! Do yourself a favor and do this ... you will not be disappointed!!

The view the walking on rugged terrain with just a flashlight. Clouds prevented a good crisp sunrise but we saw a lot!
