DALA AFRICA is an indigenous firm harnessing Kenya's rich tourism and volunteerism culture for good. We specifically invest in creating unique experiences for our clients targeting under-served markets. We exclusively employ locals to provide employment where it matters. We look forward to having you on-board.
DALA was originally founded by Dr. Erick Komolo, Kenyan Lawyer and Social Entrepreneur to address youth unemployment, high teenage pregnancies and school dropouts in his rural village in South Western Kenya. We cultivate part of our profits to this mission through MAKLWETA, a charitable trust Dr. Komolo founded.

Amazing and insightful tour! Guide was a local from the area. He was thorough and kind. A truly unique experience. The people of Kibera were very warm and welcoming. Everyone was saying "Hi" and waving. Got to tour the entire area and learn from the locals. This is a must do if you are in the area.

Our Guide was truly a blessing..He knew everyone in the village. We met a wonderful man who invited us into his home and told stories of how difficult life was for his family. Everyone had smiles on their faces and I wish we could have helped all of them!

We had an amazing guide. He was very knowledgeable about the area and had personal connections to the people which allowed us to see into their own lives. Our guide explained each building and what it meant to them as well as cultural norms. Throughout the tour he explained the circumstances or the majority of people living there and reasons that they contributed to live there (things like lack of jobs in the area and little access to sanitary conditions). Definitely a unique experience I would encourage everyone to take part in.
•Friendly and informative guide
•Interactions with local people

Fredrick was absolutely fantastic! He’s extremely knowledgeable and took us to the school which we wanted to visit to deliver some donations. I highly recommend this trip and when I return to Nairobi one day I will definitely be getting back in touch. Thank you Fredrick!

The guide was great and made sure we visit and interact with the locals. He was conversant with the neighbourhood and shares old memories he's had growing up there.
