This tour was fantastic as it comprised a small group of 7 and our guide Karim made it very special for us. He was experienced and knowledgeable and kept us entertained the entire day making us laugh with quizzes etc. I enjoyed the mix of 3 wineries but also getting the two hours of free time in Saint Emilion too so we could walk around and soak up the atmosphere. Karim also recommended places to eat too which could everyone. Thanks to Karim and the the rest of our group who made our day so memorable.

Unfortunately I don’t remember the name of the young lady who was our tour driver and guide to Saint Emilion on 6/16/24@9:30 am
(English speaking tour).
She was very nice and made our good experience even better!
Thank you!

Give me my money back for the Catacombs. You screwed me. Plus, I want $100 for waist of my time and damaging my trip. Horrible experience in Dubai two years ago too. You are horrible.

Colas was a great guide! He introduced us to information on wine from the area on the trip out. Each location had excellent wine. On the way back we played a game to learn about the nose of wines. It was a very enjoyable day!

This was a thoroughly enjoyable and well-planned wine tour through the renowned Bordeaux wine regions of Saint-Émilion and Pomerol. Our guide, Mathis, was extremely knowledgeable and did an excellent job introducing us to the overall Bordeaux wine zone, highlighting the unique characteristics of each sub-region we visited.

The tour was well-coordinated, with a perfect balance of structured activities and free time. Mathis provided fascinating commentary on the history, terroir, and production methods of the wines as we visited several prestigious châteaux. We learned so much about the nuances between the two appellations and the notable personalities and stories behind the wines.

Aside from the wine tastings, the guide also recommended excellent local restaurants for our lunch break, as well as some top wine shops to explore. He kept us engaged and entertained throughout the day, yet always made sure we had ample opportunities to wander, discover, and really soak in the charming village of Saint-Émilion.

Overall, this tour was a wonderfully curated experience that allowed us to delve deep into the world of Bordeaux wines in a fun, informative, and well-paced manner. Mathis' expertise and passion for the region truly elevated the day. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone seeking an immersive and memorable introduction to the renowned wines of Saint-Émilion and Pomerol.

My wife and I really enjoyed this tour. Our guide, Helene, is a vivacious and enthusiastic host with a great laugh and an irreverent sense of humor to match her wine knowledge. The tour of the city was as good as the wine tastings. We got lucky---an underground troglodytic church, which is beneath the main cathedral, was unexpectedly open. Out of if it marched a marching band escorting a bunch of city and wine leaders in funny, red-and-white academic type robes with little medieval caps. Apparently we had arrived on the one day when the church was open, and we went in, perhaps not technically invited, before it was shut back down. This was before our a pleasant lunch in St. Emilion after our first wine tasting and a nice description of the wine making process. I'm afraid our group (6 Americans) was quite inquisitive, and we beat Helene up a bit with constant questions about everything, but she withstood our assault and returned fire gamely. She was a great host! She looked up mysteries for us---for example, we stopped in a vineyard and found a strange little situation with each vine; Helene contacted a wine master she knows and supplied a photo, and found out they had grafted white grapes unto an existing root stock, and the graph had just put out a coppery little leaf. The wine was excellent. I would have preferred to taste the wines side-by-side rather than sequentially; although I am not a complete dud I can't remember the flavors well enough to completely compare them if not side-by-side. My wife and I felt that we learned a lot. Unlike our previous experience in California, Italy, and Greece, we were surprised to learn that in Bordeaux you and be a 15 year old wine for under $100 in some cases! However, my wife and I are rather frugal, so we did not purchase a case to send back to America, although we considered it. This was a great experience and we highly recommend it if you have a whole day.
