Everything was well organised from pick-up to returning home. The longtail boat made it feel more genuine.

Ok saw the reviews tik too and insta and looked fab. Oh dear how different is the reality. Took local boat from Thong Krut pier paid 3200bht for 2 of us and had whole boat to ourselves. Bit more than I had seen offered. Can get organised tour with hotel pick up and lunch for 1500bht but you wait around for everyone. Went to snorkelling spot first. Water isn’t that clear compared to other places we have been, Caribbean or Egypt etc. not loads of fish species. Then to pig island bit of a run down place tbh. Few pigs lying around can’t blame them because of the heat. Came out when the food was being served. Sat around on loungers old wooden and some broke. Fortunately we didn’t have to wait around so after an hour we headed to our boat and back to shore. Most exciting part of trip. Sea seem calm but not in those boats lots of spray and bouncing up and down. Would not return and it is defo not like the photos and images x

Great little trip, the old boats were a lovely experience and the dad and son who took us really looked after us.
The journey over is beautiful and the snorkelling was great.
Pig island was full of pigs and dogs ( please feed both if there as the pigs get more attention)
It was lunch time so after the pigs greeted us they went off for a nap.
The island is Beautiful so take a walk along it.
Half day is enough but you can buy refreshments there and take lots of sunscreen

Great trip. We didn’t fancy the idea of our family of 4 being crammed into a huge speedboat with dozens of other people, so the private longtail boat trip was the best option for us (and actually cheaper).
Comfortable boat, friendly pilot, good snorkelling, and a lovely visit to Pig Island. Because it was a private tour, we could stay or leave whenever we wanted. No lunch included, but there is a wee beach bar on Pig Island that you could buy whatever you wanted, which suited us (with fussy teenagers!).
One suggestion for others would be to bring beach shoes, as the beach and sea at Pig Island is a bit stoney.
The private transfer to and from our hotel in Chaweng took about 30 mins each way, and was a bit odd with 4 of us not in a taxi or anything, but a little Toyota Yaris with a lowered suspension and big wheels too big for the car (so it crunched every time we went over a bump), and a noisy blowing exhaust. All part of the fun !
All in a great trip, do it. We had a great day.

Everything worked out perfectly. Even individual requests were taken into account: we didn't want to snorkel, but wanted to go straight to Pig Island. Of course we weren't alone on the island - there were loads of tourists there:) I had imagined it to be a bit more "romantic", but it was definitely an unusual spectacle that you can tell people about when you get home.

dingy unsafe boat and rude staff.
we decided to return earlier because we were worried about weather conditions and asked to be taken back. they said sure no problem 20mins. ok. another 20mins. ok. then still no cab so i called the company and asked what time the driver would come so we would know if we could sit and eat while waiting. he instead decided to lecture us and tell us just because we stay at the W hotel we are not the center of the universe…. and then proceeded to message me telling me to apologize for asking what time the car is coming. he kept repeating that we need to listen and not speak. we asked for an early drop off but did not ask for any rush serviced. we wanted to sit down and have lunch and wanted to
know how much time we had. to make
matters worse: as we were waiting another group walked in and asked the price and it was a quarter of what we paid online’ definitely over paid and over tipped this experience. not sure this company likes tourists or women tbh. i am still receiving messages about how i should apologize.

Fantastic experience! Pick-up from the hotel (and return) went seamlessly. It was an experience to travel out on this type of boat. First we snorkelled, before we were driven on to Pig Island. There we ate lunch, had a drink and relaxed on sunbeds. We agreed with the driver when we wanted to leave the island. There are many nice places to take pictures on the island, and lots of pigs walking around. They are friendly, and not intrusive (but will come if you coax them). It was easy to get on and off the boat, and all in all this was a great experience! Can also be recommended for families with children.

Great views and overall a great trip! We had a private longtailboat which turned out to be a great decision! Relaxed guide and punctual driver who picked up us at our private villa in Plai Laem! Tour operator also messaged us right after the trip was confirmed and asked info for the pick up!

The driver to the boat was great. Once in the boat I had no idea what was happening. My guide didn’t speak a word of English. Completed in 1H45. Wouldn’t recommend. Only rated high to be nice.

Quite disappointing. Pick up on time, pleasant trip to the boat by car for an hours journey. However, on arrival at the long tail boat there were no facilities whatsoever. This resulted in a further car journey to the nearest toilet prior to boarding the boat. Snorkeling stop good. Pig Island was very busy and if you are slightly unsteady on your feet/legs you will struggle to get off the boat as no quayside and small ladder only. Command of the English language non existent from our guides. Returned early as my wife could not get off the boat on pig Island.
